Pfft on the Cowgirls. The Bears have a bye, so I'm rooting for whoever's playing the Packers and the Cowgirls.
I need to plan out this week, as Geek won't be home Tuesday through Sat. I'll be on foot as much as possible, too, because my gas tank light is on and I can't afford to fill up again unless I'm going somewhere for an interview or to Midland for a valid reason.

I wish I could hoof it places... my office is 35 miles (45 minutes) away from home. No sense in spending the money if you don't have to. Plus, it's good primal exercise.

I've been a very good girl today. No sweets. Eggs, bacon and hashbrowns for breakfast. Small bowl of strawberries, bananas, pineapple and mandarin oranges (I guess that qualifies as a sweet, but it's not candy, so we're making progress here). Just had two string cheeses b/c I'm starting to feel hungry. Gonna bake some catfish for dinner. Yum. Can't wait.

Come on, girlie - get back on track! You can do it. I went a bit off yesterday cuz it was our anniversary --- alcohol and chocolate cookies broke me. But I'm back today

    my motivation

    As per Marcadav:
    Do 30-60 days clean primal.
    No grains, sugar, alcohol.
Eat 3 meals and primal snacks.
    Don't track food.
    Don't tweak.
Don't expect issues to go away quickly. Instead, just follow the plan and see how things play out.
Decide on an exercise plan you can/will do consistently during the 30-60 days and then do it.

If you're going to eat sugar, much better that it be fruit, for sure.

Have you tried a blender sherbet yet?

Tomi, I don't know what my deal is. It seems like I've become complacent.

Judg, I've tried strawberries and pineapple with coconut cream. Pretty tasty. Using fresh makes it more of a smoothie consistency than a sherbet consistency.

Last night I had one bowl of chocolate chex. That box is now empty. We have another box, but it is unopened. As long as it remains that way, I won't have a problem with it.

Battling a bit with dysthymia today. Not sure why. Today should be a happy day. It's our 7 year anniversary today. But I'm in a funk. Likely b/c I ate poorly this weekend and last night I slept poorly b/c the smoke detector outside our bedroom kept beeping b/c the battery was going low. Annoying. When I changed it this morning, it was logical that it should be low. That's the original battery that was installed when the detector was installed (5 years ago). Don't worry. My smoke detectors are electric - the battery is just in case of power outage. I should look at the other detectors and see which ones have "Eveready" batteries and which have "Duracell". The Eveready batteries will indicate thier age. Since Brad works for Procter & Gamble and they own Duracell, we tend to use a lot of Duracells. They give us free 9 volts every year. I had a stack of them, and when I say stack, I mean like 6 of the silly things, and all but two were gone, so it makes me wonder if I've changed the batteries and forgot I did it, or if we've used them for something else. I can't imagine what, though. I'll check tonight.

Anyhow, Brad is at home, hunting... I'm at work. He's on 2nd this week. I hate weeks when he's on 2nd.

I think I'm going to start a blog today regarding moving our son to gluten-free. Everyone at IPMG seems pretty excited about From S.A.D. to Happy as a title. They suggested a subtitle that has something to do with a Paleo Perspective to behavior in children or something like that, but that seems to "scientific" for what I'm planning on doing. I'll do some research regarding gluten sensitivity and behavior in kids. I'll quote Primal Body Primal Mind (she's got an entire chapter devoted to ADHD in children) and see what else plays out. There are a lot at IPMG that seem interested in following the blog and showing my results to others. We'll see. Maybe this is the first step in changing the world... lol

Anyhow, I think I'm going to research blog servers and see which one I want to run with. I see a lot of people using WordPress (even our leader Mark uses WordPress), but I'm familiar with blogspot (it's Google based, and I'm a big fan of Google). I'll see which one has better "free" features.

I hope everyone is having a good day.

I started a Wordpress account, but never got into it. I'm pretty used to Blogger at this point. If I start a second blog to analyze my old journals, I'll probably stick with it.

Thanks for the input, Tash. I was just browsing both and just seem more compelled to use Blogger. I can earn money with AdSense (hopefully the content of the ads will make sense given the content of the blog), and I think it's possible to add the Facebook and Twitter 'share' features to blogger. I think I'll stick with Blogger. I'm familiar with it and won't have to learn new features to function...

I'll be working on that today b/c, quite honestly, I have very little to do at work today... I will be keeping the blog private for a while, inviting a few people to read and comment and what not, but I'm not going to open it up to the general public until I've seen a positive change in his behavior.

Anyhow, stay tuned as I'm sure I'll invite y'all to be initial viewers.

From SAD to Happy works for a blog title, but not for a blog address... so frustrated. Someone already has www.fromsadtohappy.blogspot.com. The blog has been removed and the name not released for use by other bloggers... bastards! Now what???

    *sigh*

The blog title will be: From S.A.D. to Happy - a Mother's Perspective on Behavioral Changes Eating Whole and Unprocessed Foods

Jenn -- nice idea for the blog! Maybe you could write to the "administrators" and ask them to release the title?
