Take a look at Barbara Sher's book 'How to Get the Life You Want'. The first chapter has some excellent exercises to help determine what techniques for motivation will work on YOU. Shame, praise, competition, fear, rewards...they all have their uses, but there will be some techniques that are best for each individual. Likewise, there are some things that just don't affect you, so why bother using them.

Hang in there- it's just not worth it to go through getting back on track again after you realize how horrible you feel from getting off of primal. If you want a good snack just to kick the cravings- look up paleo chocolate chip cookies and paleo pumpkin muffins. Revise your meal options and make sure you get enough good fats. You can do it- be strong!
