How do YOU use canned salmon?

    Primal Fuel
I really need a few ideas. DH just brought home 10 large cans. I have only ever made Salmon Croquettes.. so that's out. I wouldn't mind an idea for something similar, maybe with egg white to hold it together with chopped veggies added in? I am at a loss!

I can add it to scrambled eggs YUM!

Any other ideas would be very welcomed. Today is day 10!

Open can. Drink oil off top. Pour into bowl or pan. Eat spine now or save to mash in. Pour hot sauce on top. Warm, and enjoy.

I've mostly been getting Trader Joe's brand canned salmon (the Atlantic wild caught, surprisingly tasty! - but it's also a tad pricey at almost $4 a can) and I usually just break it, drain the water, and add it to mashed potatoes usually. In the past I've also just added it to hard boiled eggs, or to 'beef up' salads. I hate salads.

+1 salmon cakes, they're the best way to cover up the yuck factor of the bone-in stuff.

16 oz can bone-in salmon, 1-2 whole eggs
diced sauteed onion and bell pepper
paprika, cumin, chili powder, oregano, garlic, onion, salt, pepper

Bluntly flavored spices like paprika and cumin can be used to bind the mixture together, no need for a flour replacement. They'll hold up better if baked.

I'll use it as compact lunches sometimes, eat it straight from the can. But I also use it to add more meat to fish head soup.

I use tinned fish - tuna or salmon - in stir fries. Heat coconut oil, add crushed garlic and grated fresh ginger, add chopped veg, cook. Add can of fish and some soy sauce (because this isn't a religion) at the end. Takes about 6 minutes.

    Same as canned tuna:

    - salmon and pea salad
    - in an omelet
    - atop a salad
    - in a lettuce wrap
    - salmon burgers
    - salmon chowder
