Gorgeous pictures. It sounds like you had a marvellous time. Sounds like a really great weekend to me.

I hope the coconut oil thing works out okay for you. I try to get a little bit almost every day because it's supposed to be a good energizer. I'm not getting any reactions now.

Thanks for joining me here folks I always love hearing from you! Judg, how did you do the coconut oil introduction and what were your reactions when you first started taking it? How much do you have now? I am wondering if I just start with a really small amount and see how I feel and then do that for a week or so and then increase it very slightly after a week again. I know it is good for me, but I certainly don't want to feel like I did the other day, ever again!! I have eaten fresh coconut without reaction, maybe it is just because it is so concentrated that I reacted. Maybe I should eat fresh coconuts regularly for a while and see how I go. I have one on the counter waiting for me to attack it - never too sure how to get into one without a huge mess!

I took Molly for a relaxing little meander this morning and peered into the 'bad person's' yard. No sign of the dogs, he just headed off up the canyon with his motorbike in the back of his truck. I am rather leary of getting too close there - he kind of scares me honestly. That much violence creeps me out. I would rather watch from a safe distance and see if I can catch him at it again. I am home all day usually so I am going to be listening closely for any sounds from his place! Wish I could take the dogs ... I have never even seen them though.

Despite eating a fair amount while camping I lost another 1/2 pound! 187.5 lbs this morning! Yee haa! Not sure if I will reach my goal of 184 by the end of the month though. It would be awesome if I could! I am going to post a couple of pics of me in the jeans that were too small for me when I started primal

Definitely time for new jeans. I don't know all the laws in Colorado, but if you wear those you might end up being cited for indecent exposures -- as they definitely can't stay up on their own -- not to mention the trip hazard!

Looks like it's time to go shopping!

Coll, for the fresh coconut, here's how I do it: take a screwdriver (with cross) and a hammer. Make 3 holes in the 3 "eyes" on top of the coconut with the screwdriver and hammer. Put a straw in one of the holes and drink the juice (you could also pour it in a glass, but it takes a long time). Then wrap the coconut in a towel, put it on the ground (NOT on your kitchen counter or table! You might end up damaging those! I usually go outside to do this) and smash it with the hammer (my boys love to do that for me!). The towel makes sure the pieces of coconut don't fly around . Then hit some more until you have smaller pieces. Take a pointed knife and put it between the flesh and the shell and wiggle to get the shell off.

Oh, I think you should keep those jeans for your after shot. I love that they were too tight when you started, not even just fitting just right. Of course, we never take pictures of that.

And what beautiful hair you have. Some definite Rapunzel action going on.

Thanks guys I couldn't get those jeans on when I started primal, not without going blue in the face! I saved the pants I was wearing when I took some pictures in the very beginning and thought I would keep them for after pictures! Thanks for the sweet comment about my hair. It was the one thing I liked even when I was so fat ... and my kids love it. I told my husband that if I died he should cut my hair off and keep it for the kids to play with and then they wouldn't miss me so much (only kidding!)

Candy, I am going to try the coconut the way you suggested - me thinks a coconut snack and drink for us today.

I think I am going to hold off on shopping though - I HATE looking for clothes! I have heavy legs (lots on muscle with lots of fat on top means I just don't fit your average jeans!) and I just get depressed trying to fit all these strange style pants onto my unique shaped body. Even when I was at my heaviest weight I still had a waist (not much admittedly) but I seem to carry a lot of my fat on my butt and legs. I really like loose clothing so I will just wear these jeans for a while longer, with a belt snugged around the middle or I would have the cops on my tail lol. The kids hate the fashion where people wear their pants down low and you can see their underwear and sometimes more. They call it 'butt fashions'

It is raining beautifully at the moment! Thank God for water coming down out of the sky! It has rained all night on and off and now heavily again! This is going to get the grass greening up nicely. I think it is time for me to get the shovel out and start moving dirt into the backyard again. Great exercise I must say - who needs shovelglove when you have dirt to move! Of course I will have to wait until it has dried out some or it would be enough to strain every muscle in my body just getting one wheelbarrow load! The temperatures are much cooler now so I feel energized and excited to get out and move. And my feet are feeling much better. On my walks in the mountains the thing that bugged me the most was the fact that I had to wear closed shoes and my toes go numb then! I wasn't noticing my heel except an occasional twinge! Pretty cool!

Slouchy jeans are in style, which is saving me money! Instead of giving them away right away, I wear them belted on my hips instead. It's the whole boyfriend vibe which has been going on for a couple of years. Nice timing.

You certainly carry your weight much better than I did. You're looking good!

I got raised welts on my inner wrists, which is the same reaction I get from citrus. I had had coconut oil, and some dried coconut in some recipe or another. Too much all at once, obviously. I just backed off altogether and then just started having the coconut oil occasionally. Now I have about a tablespoon daily, I would guess. I'm not entirely consistent on anything like that. But if I feel my fat content has been too low, or I just want a "fix" I mix some coconut oil with stevia, cocoa, and almond butter in a demi-tasse or small bowl and eat with a tiny spoon. I used to mix it with honey or apple butter (no cocoa in that case) but I'm trying to avoid sugars of all kinds as much as possible. Hope that helps.

As a general rule, I think it's good not to overdo any kind of food too much, especially "exotic" foods of any kind. Most veggies I feel free to eat at will, but almost everything else I try to balance out, including general food groups. So if one meal is heavy in protein, or nuts, or dairy, or whatever, I try to avoid or minimize that group for the rest of the day. Banana for breakfast? Very low carb the rest of the day. You get the idea. Okay, enough blathering...

My youngest and I were driving the other day and this teenager with his pants somewhere between butt and knees was walking along looking "...." and his pants just up and fell down. It was funny, but the poor guy must have been mortified! I don't think those pants are actually supposed to end up on the ground. Thinking an inch or two of plaid underwear showing is cute, but when there's a foot of leg showing above the pants and then the underwear, it's not so appealing. I just keep thinking: "No way they could ride a horse or sheer a sheep or wrestle a calf -- not to mention bend over." Funny world.

Is wet mud like cleaning out the goat and sheep barn every six months????:-)
