This bee sting talk reminds me of my old neighbour.
She had arthritis and she used to catch and "keep" a couple of bees in her window.
Then She would grab one and let it sting her on her knuckles!
She said it made her joints feel better.

Freaked me out every time she did it!!

That would freak me out, too!

Feeling a bit glum right now, because of my honey's job search situation. Having your hopes raised and dashed is rough. But there's nothing to do but keep on keeping on. I just hope I am doing the right things to support him.

    Fasting

Fasting sure makes for short posts. Here's what happened yesterday:

    Up at 8:00
    Vitamins
    Water:16 glasses
    Walking: 40"
    Bed at 11:00

Stayed up later than usual, due to children's schedules and work conversation. No hunger, not even when I was making dinner (tacos!) and sitting with my family while they ate it.

My honey remarked that the last time he gave me a massage, my arms felt 'looser'. I know a lot of women have had the experience of getting looser, then firmer as they lose weight. I feel like my stomach has gone through a couple of those cycles as it has gotten smaller. Nice to know an outside observer sees (well, feels) it, too.

Stings still painful and swollen, but on the positive side, it has been a week now, since I last had finger pain. I think it is finally healed!! Yay!

Oh my arms are definitely looser and I can't say I'm happy about it! *sigh* One of the drawbacks of losing weight after 50, I guess.

Mine are a bit looser, I believe, but is that a bicep I see? I think it is!

Mine were really loose after I lost 25kg in 6 months, but now they're getting tighter again!

My everything is loser right now. It's because the hard saturated fats are the first to go in our bodies... Then we're left with grossness... at least when I was big my stomach was firm... I guess it's something to work towards.

I've got biceps, too! I love making them pop!

The looseness doesn't worry me. It will tighten up. Or it won't. If it bothers me, I can wear sleeves. Or work out more. Sleeves seem easier.

That said, I AM going to the gym tonight.

    Another short fasting day:
    Up at 7:30
    Vitamins
    Water: 16 glasses
    Walking: 70"
Bed at 11:00 (this time because I was out having fun with friends!)

Finally started getting hungry at about 4:00pm, but it was True Hunger, so I found it easy to ignore. A funny thing happened. I was at the movies with friends for a special screening of Aaron Sorkin's new tv series, 'The Newsroom'. We got there early and so had a lot of time to sit. Everyone else brought or bought snacks. Next to me were skittles, which were easy for me to turn down. Then I noticed my friend was eating them by color, so we started talking about that. She likes to work from her least favorite to her most favorite, and I mentioned that I like to eat peanut m&ms in rainbow progression. Then had a brief moment of reflecting on how hard it was to stop eating peanut m&ms once I have started. A few minutes later, from the friend at the end of the row, came an offer of some...peanut m&ms!

    Didn't have any.

Looking forward to today as the first full day of fasting with hunger. Have lots planned to keep me busy. Hope y'all have a good day!
