    Another busy morning

    Primal Fuel
Okay, this morning, no time for my leisurely journal perusals because I had to take Littlest to her school's 5K fundraiser. It DID get me started on my walking, though.

    Here's what happened yesterday:

    Up at 6:00
    Vitamins

    9:30 Brazil nut
3 eggs, scrambled in the grease from
    5 pork sausages
    2T salsa
    1/2 avocado

    2:00 lamb chop
    SAS with
    buttermilk-blue dressing
    4 rice crackers (6gC)
    2T bacon-chedddar spread

    4:15 2 oz salami
    more bacon-cheddar spread
    1/3 asian pear
    1 banana
about 1 C nuts and seeds!

    7:00 2 chicken wings
    1C yellow squash casserole
    1C blackberries

    Walk 20 minutes

    Water: 7 glasses

    Bed at 8:30

Whoa! No more of those rice crackers and/or the bacon cheddar spread. They set off something major in the snacking urge. Then I was too stuffed for dinner, but did I let it stop me? No, I did not.

Primal food, at least, just way too much. But I feel good this morning. We are taking our family to Denny's(my honey LOVES Denny's!) for a bon voyage breakfast before Eldest returns to his college town for his summer job. The eggs will be pathetic, but I should be able to have all the protein I want. I am expecting some major salt issues, though! Such is life.

Looking forward to the yellow squash casserole leftovers. My family eats it, but I am the only one who LOVES it, so there is plenty for me to have later. Also planning on making Thai cucumber salad. We'll have it with burgers tonight. Yum, yum.

Hey there~I put the fatburn juice info in my journal in case your interested It is basically a bunch of veggies with claims of melting the fat from cells and flushing it from our bodies. There were so many that I knew I could never eat them all each day so I made a juice instead and I drink 2-3oz a few times each day. I just started so I have no idea if its helping really. But I am happy getting all of the natural enzymes

Hope the finger heals soon! The primal diet should help. I seem to be healing a bit quicker than I did before.

Sorry about your finger Sabine!! I know this is way late but arnica gel can really help to speed up healing of smashed pieces of anatomy! DD dropped a full metal water bottle with it's edge on her little toe! It turned blueish black almost instantly and I was pretty worried about the poor kid. But I slathered it with arnica right away and the next day you could hardly tell it had been smashed. It is seriously awesome for that kind of stuff. Hope you didn't break anything in your finger ... heal up quick as we are going to miss you!

    The finger hurts

So, I am typing slowly, but starting up again. Will NOT type in all my meals, etc for the past days, but I did fairly well, except for some planned indulgences on Eldest's last day here, and Mother's Day. Measured today, and my weight is up (pancakes, I am pretty sure!) but most of my measurements are down. Full details when I have use of my finger again.

From the way it feels and looks, I think I fractured one of the little bones in there. But it is straight, and I can move it, so whatever it is, I am sure it will heal up on its own.

When I put in the heading for this post, I was reminded that when I first told my sister I was going to do a home birth, she said she didn't think I could do it, because I don't handle pain very well. As in, I am vocal about it. In our culture, that equals 'not handling it'. Really, it is just another method.

Although I am sure it happens (to poor people in much worse situations than I have ever had to face, thank you, God) I've never seen anyone lose their minds from pain. That would be the ultimate in 'not handling it'. Or would it? If losing your mind keeps you from exploding and dying, I guess you 'handled' that pain just fine. How do you handle pain, anyhow? Do something magical that means no pain? I don't know many people who do it that way, either.

I scream. I say 'Oh, my God, it HUUURRRTTTS!' I cry. I blub. (Although, during childbirth, I also said a lot of, 'Bring it on' 'I'm doing it' "It's TOO BIG!' along with the groans [no screaming: counter-productive breath- and muscle-wise]). That's how I handle it. When my honey asks how the finger is, I don't go with the optimistic, 'oh, it's getting better!' No, I say 'it hurts'. I usually make him kiss it.(A little strange, as it is my center finger.) He'll probably get sick of hearing that it hurts, but that's how it goes. I see no point in being 'tough'.

    My finger hurts.

And, it took a super-long time to type this!

I think that would be called whining... but I do it too. Right now, my neck hurts superficially after Dr. Torture applied her Super Hero pressures to the key locations that her practice theorizes were the cause of my stiffness/soreness/inability-to-turn-ness. It hurts is all I wanna say. I mean, it hurts to even TOUCH it!

I give you permission to say "it hurts".
