Devilled eggs, baby carrots, strawberries, chicken, sliced apples and cheese. Sounds like a picnic we might have ... note to self, need to roast a chicken soon. have you tried the N'Oatmeal cookies from the Food Lover's Kitchen? We all love those for when we want or 'need' a cookie fix, and you stay primal without triggering all those nasty issues with the grains! In fact I think I should make a nice batch to take camping with us on Sunday / Monday. The kids will be thrilled

Glad to hear there are possibilities on the job horizon! I am with you on the coffee icecream - am planning an attempt at making it in the near future, cream + coffee + stevia sounds yummy! I hope your campus visit is not too sweltering! I am so happy it has cooled down here - don't envy you the weather there! My SIL lives down near there and hates the climate. But then she grew up in Colorado and lived here her whole life until just a few years ago - quite a difference there!

My daughter is much the same! She loves art and beauty but her room is a horrific train wreck at any time of the day unless I threaten bloodshed and mayhem, and then it is just barely negotiable without breaking a leg!! Funny isn't it?

My room was always a pit too. We're stuck at 54 degrees today. I'm in my office with my coat on b/c it's not October 1 yet, so the AC is still on in our building. I would be ok with closer to 100 degree temps. I enjoyed the warmth this year - just not the humidity.

That N'Oatmeal recipe looks good, Coll. And you know what? I actually have all those ingredients in my cupboard! I'll have to see if I feel in the mood for some baking this afternoon.

I am not a baker - I just do what the recipe says and eat what comes out of the oven. I am sure you could tweak it to do without though if you have a little more savvy than I do! They are really easy and flop proof too!

I would probably skip the flax. Heard it's not so good for men. Something about too much of something in it can cause prostate cancer or something... I'll see if I can find the literature.

Just a lot of little stuf

I did not feel like baking, but although that meant no N'oatmeal cookies, it also meant, I didn't make any peanut putter cookies. So yesterday was mostly chicken, devilled eggs, and apples. Mostly.

At least there were no cookies. I didn't even grab one of the free ones offered on the dorm tour.

The campus was beautiful, and the programs were interesting. The school is a little too overtly religious for my liking, but of course, it is Middlest who would be living there. She has a few more to be visiting, and then we have to see where she will get in.

My allergies are getting to me. I'm having to carry a box of tissues with me, everywhere I go. So, no walking for me today- Honey is having to ride on his own. Instead, I will be washing dishes and doing laundry. Hmmm. Something's wrong with this picture!

I got the first season of 'V' from the library yesterday (a good excuse to stretch my legs after four hours of driving) and watched the first episode before I conked out. Not bad. I remember loving the original series, back in the day.

Now that it is fall, I am considering doing some cold baths. I've been thinking of it for a while, and originally thought the equinox would be the perfect time to start. Well, here we are. Let's see if I can actually get myself to do it!

Glad there are reasons to hope, job-wise. You know, if your hubby isn't pushing it with his biking, it could very well be low-level cardio for him. For people in shape, jogging doesn't raise their heartbeat enough to qualify as "Chronic". For me it would be...
