Yep, you definitely get a nap today -- especially since your lovely sauce is all set. Sounds like you might have to sneak those rolls in periodically:-)

Sending good thoughts on your DH's face-to-face today. Sounds like the job search might be looking up! If he gets a job, can you stay home and care for house, kids, meals, shopping, laundry, etc.? Or is that something you'd like?

    Have a super day.

Sabine, don't feel guilty about taking a nap. I take one on Saturdays and Sundays while the kids nap if I can. And surprisingly, since going Primal, even when I get next to no sleep at night, I still manage to make it through the day without dozing off or begging for a nap. It's interesting, to me anyway. And last night was a good sleep night, so no worries. Enjoy your nap.

Hooray for job interviews! Hopefully one of them goes somewhere great!

At least it sounds promising. Saying prayers for you so that the job situation works out and you have a reduction in stress.

Trojan, Lopisheep, Kim, Jenn- thanks for your good wishes. I'll need to check out that book. I'm a homemaker now, and I would love to keep on being that. And from a practical standpoint, I am not a very organized person. It is as much as I can do to keep things going. I shudder to think how things and people would suffer if I had to be away from the house for hours every day.

Trimming our lawn this morning, in bursts between laundry. And if I am brave enough, I'll tackle the girls' bathroom. Right now, I am obviously having fun on the forums.

OK. Then I'm hoping he gets a really decent job -- hopefully today to start Monday -- and you can be a homemaker. Don't envy you doing girls' bathrooms today though. There are four of us, and I'm not saying who's who, but the three of us neat ones use the downstairs bathroom and I clean it. The messy one has the upstairs one and gets to clean IT!!!

I love real outhouses but they are meant to be slightly up the hill and definitely outside!

Sabine, so happy to hear about the good prospects. I hope something pans out.

The Puttanesca sauce was wonderful. No olives on hand, so I skipped those, and I added a can of sardines for the fish instead of the anchovies. Mmm, so good. And it made enough for two meals, so I feel extra thrifty!

Honey had a lunch interview yesterday, so job progress plus a free meal (barbeque brisket). He now has two possibilities that he is excited about, so confidence is high. A few more 'developing', but not at the interview stage.

Another restless night. I never did get around to that nap yesterday, but through some creative scheduling, I was able to avoid going out at 10:30 for child pickup, so at least I got to bed on time.

Tomorrow I have to get up at 5:00 to drive for a college visit. An all day event, so I need to pack food and water, and comfortable shoes and layers. I'm not a regular coffee drinker, but I think being alert enough to drive for two hours after a few days of unsatisfactory sleep calls for advance measures. So I'm going to mix up some cold-brewed coffee and cream to take along. With PLENTY of stevia. I am a black-coffee sissy.

My sister-in-law made some applesauce (accidentally) out of munsu apples. It sounded delicious. Has anyone had those kind of apples? What are they like?

    Thinking good positive job vibes

I used to loathe black coffee but after my first Whole 30, began to crave it. Now I hate anything added to my coffee, weird? Tastebuds have a mind of their own.

Saying hi! Enjoy the college visit. I am a coffee sissy as a whole... I can only drink the crappy sugar loaded stuff that comes out of the "just add water" machines at the gas station. And today I'm cold enough I might partake. We will see. Hot chocolate actually sounds better.

My favorite type of coffee is coffee ice cream.

Trying to decide what sort of food to bring for tomorrow. I think I might spring for a rotisserie chicken. It is not from our freezer/pantry (obviously) but they are very good value. I could have the two legs, Middlest could have a breast, and we would have the other breast for lunch meat next week, and the carcass for soup.

The college we are going to visit is Baylor, in Waco. When Middlest made her spreadsheet of colleges to consider, one of the columns was 'campus beauty'. Pleasant surroundings are very important to her mental well being (This does NOT affect the condition of her room, strangely, though she has lots of lovely art on the walls, so maybe that distracts from the clothes all over the floor. ) so I know at the least, I will enjoy walking around and looking at everything. I just wish our cool spell had held a little longer. Supposed to be 100 degrees again tomorrow. I might bring a parasol.

Also considering devilled eggs. And peanut butter cookies. (Yes, I know.)

My Honey is off on a bike ride this morning. His usual commute to work was 11 miles each way of biking, so he is used to some regular aerobic exercise every day. If he doesn't get it, he really starts to notice. It may be chronic cardio, but he loves it.
