    Question regarding Tilapia

I understand that Tilapia is high in Omega 6 and rather low in Omega 3.

If I am supplementing daily with both a Fish Oil pill and a Krill Oil pill, do I have anything to worry about if Tilapia is part of a 3 day a week diet???

Does anyone else find Tilapia tastes musty? I've tried it 3 different times, from different places and it's always had a musty taste to me. Then again I'm what's called a super taster which is a blessing and curse (DH firmly believes curse since I've ruined many foods for him).

Am I wrong or is tilapia not the cleanest of fish? It is a fresh water fish, not an ocean fish which usually means for me the taste will be a little murky. Also, isn't most tilapia farmed? I also avoid trout because it is a fresh water fish.

    Wow!!

We have oysters, mussels, wild caught salmon, farmed salmon, swordfish, wild caught cod, farmed cod, lobster, shrimp, scallops (the big and the small ones)... and I'm sure more that I'm not thinking of at the moment. Mahi Mahi is a little harder to find, but trader joes recently had it frozen.

Have you checked the frozen fish section? What about canned fish? There is canned salmon/tuna/sardines.

I'm just surprised, I wonder if its because I live on the east coast?

Any Asian stores in your area? Sometimes they get fresh fish in that's cheap and wild...
