I made this recipe today for dinner and it was so awesome I had to share it!
I made the following changes:
1. I used homemade sauerkraut that my parents prepare every winter;
2. I used less than half of the chicken and beef stock than called for;
3. I added some bacon and Hungarian winter sausage that I just tossed in an empty hot pan and let them crisp in their own fat
It tasted just like my mom's cabbage rolls but without the rice. If there is anyone here with a Balkan background, you'll definitely enjoy this recipe!
Oh and I also omitted the splenda and Worcestershire sauce that the recipe calls for. Why she put that in is beyond me.
