I did have a great time! I got see flamingly gay choir men doing the Thriller dance on stage in perfect formation and a 7ft tall drag queen dressed as Elvira. A couple people came and talked to me and I got a lot of smiles.

There were two ladies from choir there -- two of the only ones near my age. I'd never really talked to them before last night, but we had a great time! I guess they are dating. We stayed at the party for the costume judging and then went out to a diner and chatted for a long time. Then I got to go meet their new kitten. The one girl lives literally like 200ft from me, so I think she and I might end up hanging out in the future. Yay!

It's funny about the makeup, though. I was telling people all night how applying liquid eyeliner is apparently just like riding a bike; it comes right back to you! And I'll admit it looked really good. I came home and didn't want to take it off.
