Back when I was getting into health and nutrition and still under the influence of the vegan/hippie/whole foods types I would eat shredded wheat cereal with rice milk (because I had clued into that milk was unhealthy) and thought that I was being healthy because all it had in it was wheat, rice, and water. *facepalm*. I think I've healed the insulin resistance and intestinal damage by now. Glad that only went on for half a year tops.
