You can also take with you a little cooler to have with you at practices, that way you are less likely to binge or be tempted by the garbage at fast food places when you're starved. AND if there aren't many options, you could get a grilled chicken burger, and then offset it with the nuts, jerky, eggs and other goodies you have in your cooler.
