There seems to be some conflicting advice out there regarding the best time to consume liquids, especially for people with digestive issues (like myself). I'm wondering when the best time to drink broth/stock would be. I've heard that you should never drink while eating meals because it dilutes the enzymes in your stomach, therefore decreasing the efficiency with which your body can break down foods. According to the GAPS diet, people should drink broth throughout the day. If you consider what Dr. Kruse recommends, you should never ever snack....but that would mean drinking broth with meals, therefore going against the idea that liquids effect digestion efficiency. I know this is a nit picky question, but I just want to know when it would be most beneficial to drink some stock!! Any ideas?
