All food fuels your workouts. I don't notice any difference in my performance whether I eat high carb or high fat or both. As for "refueling," eat what you crave provided it's free of the usual suspects like seed oils and high fructose corn syrup.
Hey guys,
I've been doing some work with the kettlebell lately. Incorporating mostly swings for now. A work out might consist of 7-8 sets of 20-30 swings (Until I am pretty winded). I have been off the workout path for while, due to a couple hip surgeries, and am trying to regain my fitness level. This is really getting my heart rate up nice. The workout probably takes 10-15 minutes.
My question is what fuels short, very intense workouts, done at max-effort witht he kettlebell? Would it be fats or carbs? And does a workout like this need some carb refuel with a sweet potato or a banana or something along those lines? Thanks guys- Justin
