    @Athena: I found it very easy to put on muscle with pretty close to zero carbs. I always ate a lot, but now it's just a bit more. It's mostly just the day after exercise that I get more food in.


    @hoyt22: I used to eat two meals a day. Lunch at work was cold meat with a salad. Nuts and things for snacks and dinner was lots of meat, but with salad or veggies.


    I changed to VLC and started IF before the first pic. These days I eat one meal of almost all meat each day. The day after exercise I just eat when I am hungry.

    The "Seven Deadly Sins"

    Grains (wheat/rice/oats etc) . . . . . Dairy (milk/yogurt/butter/cheese etc) . . . . . Nightshades (peppers/tomato/eggplant etc)
    Tubers (potato/arrowroot etc) . . . Modernly palatable (cashews/olives etc) . . . Refined foods (salt/sugars etc )
    Legumes (soy/beans/peas etc)

    I think the majority of people who follow this lifestyle, regardless of where they are in the discovery of it, are primarily concerned with health. What health means to each individual is different. How that manifests itself physically will also be different. I think this forum provides all of us with an excellent source of motivation no matter what our individual preferences are. Thanks to everyone who contributes!

    Hmm, I guess I'll be daring and post a recent picture. By no means am I ripped, or even at a good point yet. Winter break wasn't too kind to my diet but I think I'm back on now. I'll consider this a 'before-ish' stage...before I really start focusing on my eating and getting into exercise mode. And definitely before I feel comfortable posting a sports bra photo.
