    Leptin Resistance goals:
    - Breakfast w/ 50gm of protein yes, 65
    - Breakfast w/i 30m of rising yes!
    - 5+ hrs between Breakfast and Lunch yes, no lunch
    - 5+ hrs between Lunch and Dinner yes, no lunch
    - no snacking yes
    - darkening the house at sunset yes
    - exposure to morning sun raining, but I still need some sunlight. Can't stand indoor lighting.
    - 100% primal diet yes
    - <50g carb per day yes
    - no PUFA's other than fCLO yes
    - teaspoon of coconut oil if I start fading extra TB at bkfst

    Mg (700mg) - rounded tsp after bkfst (too much)
    D (5000IU) - 6000
    HCl - None (going to re-test this in a few weeks)
    Digestive Enzymes - 2 with bkfst, 2 with dinner
    OOO (4 drops) -
    ACV (1T) -
    Also: organ pills, broth, ferments: SKJ before bkfst & dinner
    Dairy-free? no - forgot it was in the potatoes
    Me & BabyGrok wheat-free days: 0

    B - SKJ, 9.5+ oz sausage & taco meat + 2T CO

    D - goat shanks (had tomato & wine), 1/4 serving of potatoes (butter, sour cream, milk)

    several cups of black tea w/ lemon

    Results
    - energy 7/10 - down in the evening; I'm suddenly very sleepy
    - bloat 3/10
    - skin okay
    - slept 9+hrs
    - had a sugar dream last night. got mad at it.

    No issues from yesterday's Communion, so I don't know what was going on last week. ?

    Let's see what (if anything) the potatoes do. I did nothing but meat & oil for two weeks and am still bloated, so on to the next thing, I guess. Whatever that may be, I have no idea.

    Feeling CRANKY this evening. So cranky that I thought I should check my belly - sure enough, very bloated and on its way worse.

    If I can find the solution to either of these problems, I will have the solution to both.

    At least the energy is sticking! Oh, dear God, please let me keep the energy! I am LOVING it!!!

    Results
    - energy 6/10 - took a 1+hr nap after noon. Energy improved after that. My legs felt light, like dancing!
    - bloat 4/10
    - skin still improved
    - slept 8+hrs
    - was very hungry around 4pm. Meant to drink tea to hold off till dinner; forgot. Made it fine with no temptations.

    Tonight I wore a skirt I haven't been able to wear since 2004!

    My thigh measurement is what's going down right now. I'm measuring just my middle third every other day, just for fun, b/c I can't wait till the weekend to see how much has changed! (And b/c the weight isn't going anywhere.)

    I think - maybe - I'm getting some leptin sensitivity here. I don't know if I remember this right, but I think that when your body starts recognizing leptin signals at the

    - liver, your incessant cravings disappear
    - muscles, you get energy again
    - brain, your mood & libido & other neurological things improve.

    I think - just maybe! - I got two out of three!

    To borrow a quote from shijin, I went shopping in my closet this morning - have about 8 more shirts and 4-5 more skirts I haven't worn since 2004 tthat are now available to me! (And yes, I'm rapidly giving the hopelessly-outdated ones away!) And I stuck on the daisy dukes I bought my senior year in high school (1993) ... they fit just as well as they did then!

    Size 8s are fitting well. Thighs dropped another 1/4" since yesterday. That's 1/2" since SAturday, yet no weight loss. What is happening internally when you're losing fat, but not weight, and not working out at all?

    The only thing standing in my way of looking how I want is the bloated belly and the belly fat that I gained for the first time in my life in those last few years of crazed sugar addiction.

    Results
    - energy 5-6/10
    - bloat 2/10 morning, worse at night
    - skin still improved
    - slept 7-8 very interrupted hrs. DD woke a LOT. Trying to nurse me out of O again? Feel pretty tired & down from lack of sleep. The good news is I fell back to sleep quickly every time I got a chance.
    - tired this afternoon, a little snippy, felt like it was from sleep deprivation.

    WHOOHOO!!! Congrats Mama G! that's awesome I love shopping in my closet.. I'm actually wearing a pair of dress pants today... and they're even a bit looser than they were this weekend... I told DH... pretty soon I'm gonna be out of luck regarding shopping for free... he told me maybe for xmas I need to gift cards to stores that sell work clothes... I told him nah... I'm gonna wait to schelp into ann taylor to buy suits and such until I can no longer take in my pants/tops at the tailor for under $60 for 3 pairs of pants! Closet shopping is awesome b/c suddenly you find new clothes and its just so awesome... whats even better is you spent NO MONEY!!!!

    - bloat 2/10 morning, went to 3/10 just as I stood there in front of the mirror, swelled a bit during the day, then back down to 3/10 by night.
    - skin still improved
    - slept 9hrs. many vivid, weird dreams the last few nights, and especially last night. Sleepier and sleepier, useless, HAD to take a nap by 2ish. Napped over an hour. Good bit more useful around the house after that, but not sparkly.
    - not that hungry for dinner. Yesterday I expected to be hungrier b/c I didn't think I got 65gm in the morning and I wasn't. I'll give it another day or two ... could be time to start stepping down the BAB!

    I think this is a die-off cycle. I dropped weight, but now am needing more naps. I really think I need to follow my body's lead for sleep - it's important to whatever's going on. Slightly grouchier, too. Even now, after 9hrs of sleep + 1hr of nap, I feel pretty drowsy at 8pm.

    Ate brussels sprouts yesterday & today (a FODMAP), yet bloating is down, not up. Hmm.

    That was 6 days in a row at 145 (plus one at 146 = a one day gain), then a 3/4lb drop in one day. I don't know what's going on, how I can be losing fat so rapidly yet not losing weight. Obviously I don't really care, since the fat loss is what matters! I'm just wondering, with intellectual curiosity, how you can lose fat but not weight if you're not gaining muscle.
