Is that what I'm looking for? A diuretic? In that case, should I just drink tons of tea? dh makes wonderful unsweetened tea, but he brews it in a way that loses most of its caffeine - would that defeat the purpose?

I've never had edema and not even when pregnant. I've always drank coffee or tea and I do drink a gallon plus of water daily, especially with this damn heat.

My skin is really soft as well, a very unusual feeling. It is amazing what changes when doing the reset.

well, a diuretic would reduce accumulated fluid, so it may be worth a try. If you do try the celery juice, be careful with it, it is potent, as my husband and I found out during a "juicing" phase. I have never been one for edema, so I am not tons of help, although my mom gets swelling in her ankles at times and finds that keeping her feet elevated helps a lot

I never had edema till my first pg, then had it horribly, but was eating SAD. I kept it minimal or non-existent the next four pregnancies by tailor sitting (same as keeping feet elevated, but you dno't need a lounge chair!) almost constantly, and have kept the habit between pregnancies. I was a massive water drinker during all those years, but it didn't help. I've never drunk coffee or tea regularly, though. I've been a heavy salter (only unrefined sea salt) the last few years, but am trying to step up the water and salt this week, anyway, just in case it helps.

Last night, the pitting was worse. When I woke at about 4am, it was gone; when I woke again at 8am, it was slightly back. It's not bad right now.

152 First solid drop I've had since starting LR and tracking again.

Week 2, Day 4 Leptin Sensitivity Reset Protocol

    Food
    B - 3 eggs in <1T butter&CO, 4oz sausage & jowl

L - steak, ~ cauli & broc, ~~sweet tater, bite of nectarine. Not enough to eat, in retrospect. Ate at 1 and was hungry by 3.

D - dried pineapple, 1C TJ grk yog, sauerkraut, liver in co flour w/ onions & peppers, Ital sausage, salad.

Was sneaky about the pina & yogurt, not good, but definitely didn't binge. I really didn't want to buy the pina, but talked myself into it somehow. Need to be aware. If that's all that comes from the sugar dream I had two days ago, I'm way better off than in the past. High alert mode ON, though!

Another window into having fatigue lifted. The last one was in January. It lasted a few days. This one involved
    - 2 hours pulling 2yo trees and weeds up, roots and all (2 years old b/c that was the last time I drug myself out to do it. Actually, I think it might have been 3 years). 95 degrees out. I enjoyed it. My lower back was tired by the 1.5hr mark, but that was about it
    - went to a holy hour for a friend with cancer. Back in the day, I'd kneel for the whole hour (my choice), but in the last few years, it's all I can do to make it just through a Rosary before sitting. In fact, I don't think I've knelt for a whole Rosary (about 17m) in several years. Well, I knelt, and it was halfway through the 3rd decade when I realized I was still kneeling and didn't care. I was just ... perfectly content! Well, whoa. That's craziness.

Not feeling like a spring chicken or anything, but a marked improvement, especially considering that just Tuesday I could barely keep myself sitting up in a chair all day long.

And I had a LOT of poison ivy exposure today. Definitely was touched by it many, many times. We'll see what happens.

Week 2, Day 6 Leptin Sensitivity Reset Protocol

    Food
    B - 3 eggs in 1T CO, leftover liver & sausage

L - too much roast beef, mayo, tiny orange, carrot.

Completely did not care about having any of the trail mix I was passing out to my kids. Weird weird weird.

D - BBQ pork, slaw, green beans at restaurant. Ate slowly - bizarre! Felt *very* full, like I had eaten bread - odd. Bloated by time I got home. Larabar, then fruit leather - still bloated and still have that "high blood sugar" headachey/dizzy/earspinning feeling 3 hrs later.

    Avoid Poisons & Trauma
no - restaurant crappy sugar, yes

Move Slowly, Lift Heavy Things, Sprint
good bit of walking at state park w/ toddler on back

Sleep, Sun, Play, and Use Your Brain
<8hrs, outside but little sun, enjoyed family, no

I forgot to mention two things -

    - still no poison ivy .... !!
    - I got a bout of what I call 'attack hiccups' about two hours after eating tonight. I used to get them fairly frequently; it's clear they're related to food somehow now, but I'm not sure exactly how yet. Vicious, close together, painful ... I don't miss them at all!

Goin' ahead and putting up my template for tomorrow. I've been getting lazy with this.

I had restaurant dinner two nights that left me bloated and feeling oiled, and a bit craving-y, and I also noticed I wasn't having breakfast anywhere close to w/i 30m of rising. So I tightened up the meals yesterday (had a lara bar to taper off the craving feelings), ate great today, and worked toward tightening up the meal timing today.

    Leptin Resistance goals:
    - Breakfast w/ 50gm of protein Yes
    - Breakfast w/i 30m of rising w/i 45m
    - 5+ hrs between Breakfast and Lunch 3hrs?
    - 5+ hrs between Lunch and Dinner 6hrs?
    - 3.5+ hrs between Dinner and bedtime
    - no snacking Yes
    - teaspoon of coconut oil if I start fading Yes, I think it helped!

Week 3, Day 3 Leptin Sensitivity Reset Protocol

    Food
    B - 1/2T CO, 3 eggs, 4oz sausage

L - some pate, butter. Didn't really feel able to eat. Weird.

D - ham steak, ground turkey meatloaf & instant potatoes (!), salad, summer squash w/ wee bit of egg and cornmeal, small slice cake. Felt a bit crave-y after this. I recognized the urge to sneak in and get some more, but was actually able to recognize it, disdain it, and disregard it.

    Avoid Poisons & Trauma
    cake, yes

Move Slowly, Lift Heavy Things, Sprint
    no, no, no

Sleep, Sun, Play, and Use Your Brain
9hrs (felt dead waking, though), 30m watching kids canoe, no, no

    6 HCl, 000 mcg B12, 30m sun, 0T Mg

Praying for my dear friend Debbie, 52 & dying of ovarian cancer.

I actually felt a little too ill in the belly to eat before finding out she was going to hospice tomorrow, and certainly couldn't after that. At one point I was tempted to drown my sorrow in food, but it was fleeting, and pretty easily ignored. I definitely wasn't as steady with the cake as a few weeks ago, but was still better than the past, and will double down on the effort to get breakfast in within 30m.
