167.5 bloat bloat bloat. But now, a few hours later, it's not feeling too bad any more.

    1. Eat lots of animals & plants. (No insects for me, thankyouverymuch!)
Breakfast - 3 eggs, 1T CO, pon-hoss (pork "specialty" meat pudding w/ cornmeal)

Lunch - leftover chicken soup, salad w/ avocado dressing (avo, mayo, lemon juice - amazingly nice!), grapes, bit o' cupcake (taste-testing to make sure I chose "just the right one" for dc's birthday cakes ... bought one to avoid the temptations that come with making one)

Snack - Greek yogurt w/ raspberries. Prolly too many.

Dinner - leftover spaghetti meat sauce, a bit of lamb hock (I messed up and didn't make enough, so sacrificed and had leftovers while the fam had the good stuff, lol), salad, cooked greens w/ sliced mini eggplant, watermelon.
forgot I had watermelon last night, too.

    2. Move around a lot at a slow pace.
2mi walk w/ bebe on back.

    3. Lift heavy things.
Regularly lifting 17lb infant and occasionally lifting 36lb 3yo during day.

    4. Run really fast once in a while.
    Goal: 1x/wk
CHECK - sprinted up hill w/ bebe on back.

    5. Get lots of sleep.
    ~7.5hrs

    6. Play.
    no

    7. Get some sunlight every day.
    Goal: 15m peak sun
    no

    8. Avoid trauma.
    yes

    9. Avoid poisonous things.
no - bit o' cupcake. Wanted more.

    10. Use your mind.
    no

    1. Eat lots of animals & plants. (No insects for me, thankyouverymuch!)
Breakfast - 3 eggs, 1T CO, greens, 1C soured milk

Lunch - read the MDA newsletter during bkfst and it told me to skip my next meal. It's Friday, good day for fasting, anyway, so I did.

Snack - yogurt, honey. Too many raisins. Then swiped a glug of ice cream. What?! Was feeling very icky in the gut already and couldn't talk myself out of the urge since I'm already bloated (before the raisins, etc.). Why? Perhaps the soured milk - i thought it would have little lactose left, but IDK.

Dinner - swordfish, mushrooms in lard, carrots in butter, salad, ~watermelon

Friday night was like the worst night ever. By bedtime, I felt despondent, discouraged, totally listless. It was like the only experience I've ever had that resembled depression - a 24hr period following my second birth - where you just feel almost hopeless, but also have the awareness that this isn't real, that before and after this I feel just great, and that there's something seriously biochemical going on manipulating my feelings.

My whole body felt just off, and my mind wouldn't settle. Often when I can't sleep, I pray the Rosary - its meditativeness and simple repetition are very good for that! But I couldn't get out one prayer before my mind zoomed off to something else. I tried over and over again over the course of an hour, but couldn't get one Hail Mary out (mentally, wasn't saying anything out loud) before i forgot about it and was zooming somewhere else ... and it's only a ten second prayer.

My stomach was tender to the touch and there was something else i couldn't remember - but in general, I honestly felt like I was losing my mind. I've been reading a lot about the GAPS diet, and it almost sounds like I was having die-off ... but I haven't started yet! (Other than losing the potatoes, more than made up for by the ice cream.) Weird weird weird.

But the next morning, despite the bloating, I was at a new weight low. All very weird. Posting for future reference, in case I can tie it back to a certain food, or food pattern, or lack of nutrients.

ETA I remembered the other thing - kept choking on my throat, like an obstructive sleep apnea (feel like that has been increasing, although still very rare, over the last year), even though I wasn't asleep. Had to turn to my side to avoid it.

ETA Just remembered that BabyGrok nursed ALL night long that night. She has never ever done that before. Literally almost all night. At one point I actually felt like maybe my weirdness was getting through to her, maybe toxins from a detox some how.

    8. Avoid trauma.
yes. poor dh didn't. Nearly guillotined his finger in the trailer hitch. Good news, it just needed stitches, but he didn't go there until too late, lol, and he'd done a good job holding it together on his own w/ bandages, and cleaning it, etc. Doc was very impressed, and couldn't believe it when he refused the pain med scrip b/c it just didn't hurt. DaddyGrok also skipped the antibiotics b/c no sign of infection and he hit BT on SAP very low, so clearly nothing going on in the infection area. Very proud of his Grokiness!

    9. Avoid poisonous things.
    no!

    10. Use your mind.
