Thread: need help on my daily fat intake page

    Primal Fuel


    Hoping you guys can give me a good idea for daily intake of fat. I am a 5'6 female at about 124lbs. I know I am getting under 50g of carbs daily, and protein I try to get about 80g or so. What is a good amount of fat for a girl? And I am trying to lose more body fat. Thanks

    You want your fat min 50% of calories. I know lots of girls here get at least 60%.

    50g carbs + 80g protein is only 520 calories so far. I'm your size and would say 1600 calories is about minimum (on average of course) to aim for... so 1080 calories (at LEAST) for fat = 120g of fat.

    Hope that helps.

    Tara I think mine is closer to 70% of my calories most days.

    Eating lots but still hungry? Eat more fat. Mid-day sluggishness? Eat more fat. Feeling depressed or irritable? Eat more fat. People think you've developed an eating disorder? Eat more fat... in front of them.

    My intake tends to be about 55-65%

    I'm shooting for 65%, right now I'm at around 59%, years of weight watchers makes it hard to embrace fat.
