Pam...I agree with everyone else!! Some great advice has been given! I especially like the idea of blocking her calls. You should be able to do this yourself. Its star something...look in the front of your phone book if you need to. You could always give the Assisted Living Center say your hubby's work number to call in an emergency. I also agree that she is being abusive. Did she do this when you were growing up? Thank god for your dad!! You might even threaten her with a restraining order...your sis should know more about this. Shame you would have to take such drastic measures with her...but as its been said...you have to protect yourself first. You have your own life & she has forfeited the right for her to be in it. And I would tell her so. My heart hurts for you sweetie...I know what you are going thru...to an extent. My pain in the ass isn't near as bad as yours!!

    love ya girlie!!

:-) It was a weird day. Got so busy I forgot to eat breakfast and lunch. Then, I made a yummy chicken and vegetable soup and had a huge bowl for dinner.

Remember when I told you about the no sugar bacon I found on line? Turns out it has sugar. They wrote and told me. The employee they asked thought they were talking about something else. Anyway, I added a note on my post to you in case anyone reads it and orders it thinking it has no sugar.

Yep, I'm waiting to hear about pig skins. Maybe it has to be done right when they slaughter the pigs.

Yep. Just gonna' read a couple pages of your journal anytime the food isn't working!

    Sleep well!

THAT is exactly what you should do from now on. You're not crazy. You're mother is obviously OVER THE TOP crazy. We all complain about our mothers a little bit, but come on: The nicest person on earth could not handle your mother. Jesus Christ would tell his followers to not stress out about your mother. So again, do exactly what you just did from now on. Your mother needs to get a clear message and you don't deserve to be pushed around by her any longer (even if she doesn't get the message).

Also +1 on what Candy said.

Just dropped in to weigh in on your situation with your Mom - in my own experience the mother-daughter relationship is the most complicated of all - nothing else holds a candle to it. And it can be hard to love someone and not enable their bad behavior. I hope things are calmed a bit now.

I am very jealous you had a goat farm! That is my dream, to have a small homestead with goats or maybe sheep.

Sounds like a plan!!!!!!!!!! Good for you!!!!! I know cell phones are a part of our life now & I don't know how we ever managed without them...but hey we managed quite well I think! Sometimes I long for the simpler times of our grandparents. *sigh*
