Pam...free ranging chickens...beautiful weather(most of the time)...real pit bbq...beautiful bluebonnets in the spring...did I mention real pit bbq?? , fresh peaches from the Texas Hill Country...

I use a couple of different seasonings...its hard to find one with no salt tho. Chachere's is good...so is Slap Your Mama. I've got a couple of recipes to make your own...I need to post them over on my blog. I haven't made them in a long time. Paul Prudhomme makes one as well, but haven't used it. I do use his Blackened Red Fish one tho when I make catfish. yummmm

Indian paintbrushes-- cacti in bloom-- homegrown pecans-- cattle grown, slaughted and sold in the same county, just outside your city--Mexican barbeque chicken (no sauce, just one hell of a rub)-- friendly folk-- minimal gun laws-- hunting season's pretty much year round if you aren't picky.
Idiot Dog's fine. She chewed on the cable line again, right before we ripped it out (we replaced it with one out of her reach), so she's muzzled again. She tried to bolt out the front gate again. She bolted. I yelled her name, and she stopped. Apparently, the way I did it struck the fear of god into her because the instant she heard it, she stopped and rolled over in one motion. I tell her to "Get [her] ass on the bench NOW!" and she instantly complied, going from halfway across the neighbor's front yard to the bench in the backyard in one command. I discipline her, let her go, and she put herself in the doghouse. Other than that, she's been behaving.

A popular variant on 'No Worries' is 'No Sweat' - which means something is easy or no trouble (usually in response to a request), eg, "Can you pick up 'insert item' on the way home?". "No sweat!"
You can get car stickers & caps etc with these 2 saying on them.

I posted one in my journal around the time I came back to the forums.

    OK, NaiadKnight --

Your journal is almost 500 pages. How about a teensy hint as to when you came back to the forum. I've only been following the forums since 1/16/12 even though I signed up in September of 2011. Just a ballpark hint. Pretty please:-)

Better late than never. I forgot you had asked. Ruby and I are doing literature, algebra, writing, piano, knitting, and driving (she just got her learner's -- so we spent an hour this a.m. in a parking lot by a lake where we were alone -- who goes to a lake in the pouring rain -- and studied safety, where the gas and brake pedals were, starting the car, backing up and going forward, parking in-between the lines, driving in circles, etc. It was fun.)

You are kind. I found it. Idiot Dog is absolutely precious:-) What a great friend to have. Ended up reading a bunch of your journals in the process -- kind of like looking up something in a dictionary and getting side-tracked and finally forgetting what you were looking for -- and had great fun. Your posts often make me smile. Funny. I read one post about games and such and thought: "What would someone 30 years ago have thought of this post with all the chat speak, the fact that you "died 3 or 4 times," etc. It was funny.
