I am a diabetic on insulin but type 2 Since October, I have followed this and have lost 23 lbs. I do have the books. My readings are better, and as a "senior" this is important. I have some restrictions on exercise, settling more for climbing stairs and walking... Blood pressure is down 40 points and I am maintaining sugar levels at normal, with 1/3 of the insulin.
I am shooting for 56 grams of protein (not by weight of meat but my fitday data base), but am wondering how many (Fit day) grams of carbohydrate and fat I should include. I really need, according to the doctor to lose 25 or 30 lbs. HE, btw, is thrilled at my progress, and stopped looking as if I should fall over any second.
I am sticking with this for the duration but sure could use some help here. I have been on this level for almost 2 weeks now.
