Hi ecks! My Leptin reset took a sideways turn while traveling, but I'm back on it and feeling good. I was in mild ketosis this AM!

Next week I travel again (unless the hurricane messes up those plans) so I'll have to try to be better. Glad it's going well for you!

Oh boy, Ecks, I hope I don't have to try to eat that much when I try it.

Basically, protein and veggies are good, carbs are bad, protein and coconut oil for breakfast, right? With coconut oil at other meals too... I'm going to do smaller quantities for sure though. Oy.

Hey Dave and Judg, Sounds like you guys are on the right path for a good leptin reset. Mine's been going well granted the weekend was very scattered with eating and consumption. All paleo (outside of a few ciders... which even then I'll call paleo because they are pretty much just fermented apple juice). Either way things are motoring along. Sorry for being MIA- been having a hard time keeping up with life as it is let alone time to find to post everything.

Don't worry about it, Ecks. Come in when you can.

I'm trying to be a good girl today, but I'm already sick of protein! Hurray for veggies! I suppose beets and carrots are out?

Just as long as you are within 50 grams of sugar a day I don't see the issue. Anything above and you start to kill the reset. I'd say a week or 2 should do it. If you can't get all of the protein in don't worry about it. Just as long as protein and fat are the majority of your intake for the time being and that your meals are spaced 5 hours apart

Hmm, I don't think I managed the five hours apart bit. Tomorrow I'll try to do better. In the meanwhile, I am stuffed!

I guess I am going to have to start my leptin reset over after today! Ate at crazy times and too much carbs - 60+g. Oh well, no harm in doing more huh?! I have been feeling pretty full too - and have lost weight anyway. But I confess that I am craving veggies and fruit. Will just have to plan better I suppose Just drop us a line whenever you can Ecks, we all know what it is like to be so busy we are not sure what our name is!!

Amazing difference! I would not have thought you were the same person! Granted - I have only seen a few pictures of you, but there is a marked difference! I am sure both from your weight loss and then the facial hair! WOW, glad you are doing well.

What team is this you're talking about?

Oh! I should explain Movember more thoroughly... In Canada we've taken the month of November to be Men's health awareness month. During the month teams of guys get together and grow moustaches to raise awareness of male specific illnesses (prostate cancer and testicular cancer) as well as mental health awareness). Teams then find sponsors to donate money towards their moustache growth that then gets donated to researching the previously mentioned ailments. I'm sure something similar happens in the states but I can't rally comment towards that. I'm on a team of local MoBrothas and MoSistas (yes women can participate in awareness too... Just no stache growing) called "Stache to the future".
