As a side bar? Man, that's huge and wonderful. It's work, yes? Hopefully, your boss will get busy and not have time to complain!!

Oh, now I remember when you did that. Hmm. Don't think I'm quite up for that, but I sure will be interested in seeing how that works for you this time. I bet quite well. You seem to do a perfect primal.

So, do you still have to move in with Dad, or is it going to work out where you are?

Great news on the job! I hope you like it and it is fruitful.

I can't do a leptin reset with my schedule, it's too wacky time-wise. Seems interesting, though.

@Dcarr pam and siobhan Thanks all!

@Pam Not moving in with dad. Mom is already back in the house again and we just do not get along... At least I don't get along with her. Too much detail to get into.

So I'm thinking once I'm settled at work I'll start that leptin reset. Likely next week. Then the week after if all of the rain we've been having lately stops I may start walking to work. Having a schedule again is nice!

So for the first time in a long time- food journal! I wanted to fast while I was doing my first day it's always brought me peace so I figured that first day of a new job would be a good time for that.

Breakfast- Fresh Iced tea (made with steeped tea bags the night before) and supplements (2tbsp MCT oil, 3000mg salmon oil, 2x cal-mag tabs)

    Lunch- Coffee

Supper- Spaghetti squash and 2 meat cups (essentially baked ground pork and ground beef into cups last night as easy grab and go food for today... then didn't want to grab and or go per say)

Exercise- a ton of walking through and around U of W campus

As a side bar today was my first day of work... interesting is the word I'll use. My boss spent the morning complaining that things aren't as good as they used to be but I seemed to click with the other guy more in the afternoon. It's a 13 month contract at the university of waterloo. Hoping it may take me places but we'll see.
Yay! You got the job! A whiny boss for half a shift is way better than unemployment, for sure!

For the leptin reset, are the other meals high protein too? Do they have to be 5 hours apart? What was the effect for you last time?

Yes, I know, I'm always full of questions.

Meals 5 hours apart, each one starts with 2tbsp of coconut oil, first meal should be as protein heavy as possible (50 grams of protein is reccomended but I just find that that's too much), less than 50 grams of sugar a day. The idea is that by eating at regular/well spaced times and with a solid amount of fat you can get your body on a regular burn cycle. It definitely helped me last time and I'm hoping it'd have a good effect this time. I noticed the burn was more consistent for weeks after I did it last time (it's how I got off my plateau at 298)

Great to see you settling into a positive routine. I'll be really interested in hearing about the leptin reset.

Very interesting. I would think that for my size, age, gender, and activity level that those quantities might be a bit high. How long do you do this for? I think I would like to try it, but it will have to wait until November. Too many disruptions between now and then.

I'm sure you can adjust the amount of coconut oil as needed. I have a hard time with tablespoons of it and found that I had to melt it down last time. As far as breakfast I'd just say high/all protein breakfast would be the best way to go. 50 grams is ridiculous.

So second day of work today and I have to say it went much better than previous. My boss is still a bit of a downer but I'm working to not let it bother me. Having my buddy just down the hall is great too! (He started on monday as well). Finding myself adjusting well and learning the culture; it's very different from the RIM/Blackberry culture.

Food for yesterday (I passed out fairly soon after dinner and didn't get a chance to post)

Breakfast- Glass of iced tea + Supplements (2tbsp mct, 3000mg salmon oil, 2x cal mag tabs)

    Lunch- Black coffee

Dinner- 4 Large chicken drums, 1 meat cup, big ass salad.

So I figured I'd give myself a week of routine at work without food just to get myself adjusted to life before introducing myself to a new food schedule. Food times been so sporadic the past 2 months that I figured fasting and healing would be a good idea. Once I'm into a solid work schedule I'll slide myself over to a solid food schedule. Hence the planned leptin reset next week. God willing it all works out!

I'll post food for today either tonight or tomorrow morning.

So day 4 at work and it's slower today than previous days but I'm still learning. The university working lifestyle is still weird. Seems slightly disorganized but a good place to work so far. I did gain privy to another position opening up soon at the highschool board level. I do have to get my A+ for it though so I'm picking up a book tonight as a refresher.
