Thanks Jamilyn! I'm just glad to see you online again!

So this week is already starting to weigh on me... cue wednesday- lots going on today so I'll be glad when it's over... Tomorrow will be much of the same... lets hope it all goes well.

    Yesterday
Breakfast: Summer sausage and BP coffee
Lunch: Packed but never eaten... too damn busy at work
Dinner: Burger and coleslaw from "The Works". No bun. Topped with chapoltle ketchup, caremelized onions, lettuce, tomato, bacon. Slaw was made with "Real Mayo" which likely means vegtable oil...

Yup, almost certainly means canola. But you know what? A tiny bit now and again is not going to kill you. I don't obsess too much about details when I'm eating out. I don't order pasta either, that's not a detail, but if there's a wee bit of breading or some mayo, meh. Maybe it would be different if I ate out daily, but I don't. I've been meaning to get to "The Works". They started here in Ottawa, you know.

Hope things clear up at work for you soon. You don't need that much stress.

I agree with Judg, a little here and there is okay and not worth worrying about. So long as it isn't daily or too often.

Ecks, I'm going to totally hijack your thread again.

Judg, there are (IMO) much better burger places in Ottawa than The Works. It's good, don't get me wrong, but I find the meat at Vera's (Bells Corners) and Hintonburger (Hintonburg) is much better (juicier and more flavourful). Listed those two since they are sort of in your neck of the woods. If you find yourself in the Byward Market, try out Brother's Beer Bistro, my favourite burger in town.

The Works, my favourite is Pony Express (except I find it's better on chicken breast). It has cream cheese, horse radish, Frank's Red Hot sauce, cheddar cheese, topped with ripe tomato (I get raw onions instead of tomato since I'm allergic to tomatoes). If you're not eating cheese, then definitely avoid this one!!

    Sorry for the hijack :S

Vera's? Well, well, I'll have to check it out. Thanks.

On the other hand, I live two minutes' walk from one of the best shawarma joints in town.

Hey All! Sorry I haven't been around. Been eating primal all week so I've been good. Closest thing to non primal was probably the goat cheese on my salad last night. I'm dead tired though from a very busy week at work. I'm headed camping though so I'll be back to regular postage next week. Later!

Have fun camping! I can't wait to get out and go again. It might have to wait till September considering all this heat we're getting.

Oy! Been a busy weekend already. The camping was just one night (from friday to saturday). Everything I've eaten this weekend has been paleo except for a glass of (gross) Budweiser... Anyways I'm logging in for weigh in Sunday. It is of course the first Sunday in the month and the coolest holiday ever... Canada day! Woo!

Anyways... The cool bit... I'm down to 262.4 from 266.4 in 2 weeks! Holding nice and strong with a solid 4lb loss! And for the record I'm officially 70lbs off! Woo! Gonna go update my signature... surf around the boards then head to get ready for the beach!

OK! So I've been fairly absent this weekend. 1 night camping, 1 day hiking/swimming at Rockwood (+ a wicked cliff jump!), 1 day at Grand Bend Beach, and 1 day going out and chillin with my buddy. Friday night to Monday was rockin! I promise everyone that I will get back on track with proper postage and more attention to everyone elses journals... just hard keepin up with everyone sometimes in the summer. Grok on!
