    @Candy- Thanks! Decided today that I'm doing a 100lb count down to 175

    @Pam- I'd love to help if I can though I'm curious about what you're doing- give it more than a week hun results don't happen over night.

    @Judg- Too funny! :P I may have to steal that!

    So the first sunday of the month weighin comes with numbers- measuring tapewise... So here goes

    Body Area || Last Month - This Month = Inches Gained/Lost
    Neck || 16.5"-16.5"=0
    Chest || 48"-47"=1" loss
    Abdomin || 53"- 53" =0
    Hips || 49"-48"=1" loss
    Arm || 19"- 17.5" = 1.5" loss
    Thigh || 30" - 29" = 1"loss

    Seems fairly even over all. Happy guy either way!!

    Food journal (was going to blog about my day which was pretty awesome but eh... not feelin the bloggin so much right now)

    Breakfast - IF until I could get myself measured

    Lunch- 2 orange peppers stuffed with ground beef, onion, cauliflower, eggplant covered in tomato sauce and slow cooked

    Dinner- Chunk of steak and some pork rinds.

    Wow! That's wonderful. How good it must have felt to see a big jump down like that. Very satisfying. Do you have any thoughts on infrequent weighing? You say it was less stressful: any details? Any worries about not 'knowing' what your body was doing, or did you feel more like you were paying real attention to your body, and not just the numbers? Or did you put it out of your mind entirely?
    And I'm loving your new signature. Especially the 'fully met my goal' part(s)!

    Just like a lot of the people on here, I can get numbers crazy. Usually around Thursday night I notice that Sunday (aka weighday) is coming up. I tend to stress about it because I don't want to post a gain... no one wants to post a gain. I've only posted 1 gain since January so you wouldn't think this would be a huge issue but it was. That 1 gain was right before my "No weigh" april. The first week was like starting paleo all over again, I was unsure if I was doing the right thing and tempted to forget all about it. Well the next Sunday rolled around and I had the greatest feeling to wake up to- I don't have to weigh today... I don't have to see how much I've gained/lost and I don't have to worry about having a crappy number. I was liberated! After that the rest of the month felt more comfortable. I wasn't constantly checking my weight and paleo felt less of a diet and more of a lifestyle. For the month I could just let it happen and whatever happened happened. I slept better, I ate better and I felt better. Yesterday rolls around and it's time to weigh. Because I have no benchmark to go off of and no weigh-in stress from the previous month I didn't feel anxious about it. Woke up- grabbed the scale- and stood... and it was good. All I can say is that after the first week this was the best thing I could have done for the month. I am however switching to 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month though just to remind me that I do have goals and that there would be consequences if I decide to dick around. I think If I did this every month I would lose sight of what I'm doing... But a month of no weigh did me a world of wonders!

    Hope that helps sabine!

    Yep, you're right. I only got it to what I think is just right yesterday, so maybe I should go to June 1st solid before I weigh or measure or make any changes at all. The main thing is, I got it to what I think is healthy, and even my youngest thinks it should work. If I go until June 1st, I can just sort of try to relax with it -- unless relaxing on an eating style is most often an oxymoron of sorts.

    Thanks, Ecks! I always like hearing how people experience things. Sometimes it is spot on to what I am going through, sometimes so different that it makes me think (which I love). It is so interesting to me that that first Sunday you felt relief at not having to weigh.

    Ecks, I'm kind of all over the map when it comes to weighing. When I'm doing fairly well, frequent weighing is interesting and motivating. If I find it is discouraging me and stressing me out, then I quit for as long as it takes to get my balance back. My clothes and other things will show me if I'm on the right track. I'm glad you've found a way (a weigh, heh) that is working for you now.

    Food journal for yesterday (day was UUUBER busy so I didn't get to post)

    Breakfast- 3 Egg omelet with grilled mushrooms, grilled orange peppers, and guacamole. Small piece of steak. (didn't finish my omelet)

    Lunch- about 4 bites of steak (day was too busy to sit for the entirety of my lunch).

    Snack- Rest of my morning omelet, couple pork rinds. 3 pieces of my Green and Black's mint chocolate

    Dinner- 2 Lamb sirloins, big ass salad, 1 piece lindt 90, 1 piece G+B Mint, regular supplements

    I know I know... little chocolate overboard. I gotta be carefull with the Green and Black's mint because it's not a solid bar. It has the chewey gooey mint filling similar to after 8. It's dark, it's organic, but it still has quite a bit of sugar. I may make these a 1 square a day thing if I can (it's soooooo good! though! )

    My day was PACKED yestreday at work. Training on building/wiring meeting rooms (which is actually fairly physical) then load in for an event. Makes for a tired me at the end of the day.

    Ecks, I've been trying out other chocolates lately to expand my horizon on dark chocolates. I hated chocolate as a kid, but then I got pregnant with Gabi and that was my craving. How could I have known as a kid that there was so much more than just the basics at the store! So many different flavors out there. I also blame my mom for the chocolate truffles she creates, lol.

    So, I've found Raw Organic Chocolate Fearless 75% Cacao and Theo's 74% Dark Chocolate. These two don't seem to have a darker bar available at the store, so I think I might check online. I'm home with a sick kid who's still sleeping right now. I know she's not feeling well because she's been asleep for almost 13 hours. That's if she didn't wake up in the middle of the night.
