Allo All!! Love to see that you've all come over. I don't know if I could do every day without support from you guys!

@Pam I love that you're still around. Though I'm sad to see that you're getting frustrated going vegan. I'm sure you can do something though to turn that around. I've done the whole vegan thing before- but as religious fast. Don't know if you're doing beans but when fasting for lent last year I discovered the best taco bake. Essentially it was layers of tortialla, refried beans, vegan cheese, and veggies in a pan. Delicious!

@PC I try to handle my stress... my one client I had on speaker phone to troubleshoot his external video conference connection and I swear I had the same conversation with him like 6 times. My team coordinator asked me if I could take him off of speaker phone because my conversation with him was stressing her out- she wasn't even dealing with him! either way coming home and throwing together a primal feast always helps!!

@Alesse - Why not cook for mum this year on christmas eve? If you're ever looking for new food ideas I always like sending people to thefoodee.com. mmm... fooodeeee. It's all primal/paleo and even includes whole 30 recipes for those looking to clean up.

@Judg It never ceases to amaze me that "convenience" services like drop in clinics and ready to go meals are never that convenient... I ended up skippin the chicken and going for something way better...

Anyhue- went to the clinic today during my lunch period to get my blood done. Once I was sat down to get the work I asked the nurse to go straight for the veins in my hands. Apparently this is a last resort... I warned her she would have a difficult time finding veins in my elbows but sure enough she went poking. So here she is going back and fourth on my arms feeling for veins... not having much luck at all... I told her that all nurses poke into my elbows... poke around... and find nothing. She snickerd back saying "we don't poke around here... we always find it right away". Well sure enough... she sticks me with the needle... and she's poking around inside my right arm... tried that for about 5 minutes then switched to my left. Not without me protesting first to just take the blood from the amazing veins on the top of my hands. No such luck convincing. So she's now poking around the left going "If I can't find a vein I might have to call another nurse". -_-' useless. After about 4 mins poking around she finally hit a vein though.

Texted my sister about it after- she is also a nurse- absolutely livid that the nurse at the clinic ignored my wishes to get blood taken from my hands.

Anyhue since I did successfully get my blood taken in the middle of the day it was time to figure out what I wanted to eat. I have a hard time finding "fast" food options when doing paleo but that didn't stop me. There is this burger joint I used to always go to before going paleo- not your typical burger joint though. They do all of their burgers fresh and you can get them as a burger, wrap or salad. All of the ingredients are also fresh and the sauces are made in house not to mention that it's set up like a pita place where they have all of the ingredients out and you choose exactly what you want. Ended up with a massive salad that had lettuce, tomato, mushroom, black olives, feta, bacon, lamb, and greek dressing (again made in house). Best freakin "faster" food option I could have made. So happy with that meal!

    Finishing off the food journal:

Dinner- 1.5 pork chops, big ass salad, 3000mg of salmon oil, 6000ui of D3, 2 squares of lint chocolate, small piece of summer sausage.

It's so hot in the house. Went from snowing last week to uuber muggy this week. Weather around here will never make up it's mind. May have to go buy a second fan for my room.

We were supposed to get muggy, but it never got this far. I have mixed feelings. I don't normally like muggy, but I was looking forward to a bit of heat. The capris will have to wait.

That's annoying about the blood. Doctors and nurses are always doing stuff like that. Like, we've had our bodies for x amount of years and still don't know anything about them according to them.

Love your recipes. Maybe just vegetables, but huge mountains of them might work -- somehow, I'm doubting it. Beans and I don't get along. It's really bad for the ozone layer:-)

I have the opposite problem, whenever I had to get an I.V. they always want to put it in the veins on your hand, but the veins on my hand although very visible are also very "jumpy", so after minutes of trying (on BOTH hands) the nurses always end up putting it on my wrist. EVERYtime I tell them: don't even try in my hands, NO nurse has EVER succeeded there and EVERY F****ING time the nurse didn't want to believe me. I needed an IV with extra hormones every delivery (so 3 times) because my contractions didn't get strong enough. I got out of hospital each time one day later with a baby-boy and 2 blue hands (and one blue wrist).

Hey, is today the day you get the ice cream from the butcher?

Amazing how you and I are still having cold weather and primalcajun is already harvesting. Going to be too wet for tomatoes here this year, I think.

It's good thinking of your somewhat stressful work week being over. Aren't weekends nice? Time to organize and move around freely. Have a super day!

Is that normal for this time of year? Wow. I think my ideal is anything under 75. 85 is okay but pushing it!

    Lamb burgers sound like fun!
