Thanks so much for the tips on where to get some organic meats. I have been to Vincenzos but not since I started eating primal. Will have to check them out again for sure. Never heard of Brady's but am gonna venture there also! Is it weird that I am so excited about buying meat??? lol!
Ok so stupid noob question, how do I PM you? I am about halfway through your journal. Your progress is awesome! I am also digging the food porn! The Ham-Burger was epic! Take care.

Doing my best to curb appetite. During the fall season (and I noticed this last year as well) my appetite has gone up. Likely instinct to pack on for winter. Which I'd rather not do. Anyone else experiencing this?

High starch high fat? Because that's what I'm feelin! Been good about it but now just eating higher quantities of paleo foods. Hopefully this passes soon. I won't be able to afford it once I'm out of work (one week!)

Had an amazingly busy weekend! Friday night I had a retreat an hour and a half away (one way drive) that I only stayed up for the night (drove there and back friday after work), saturday I did my sister's birthday (and made my first ever, extremely non paleo, cheesecake!) and sunday I had church with a buddy and saw Ender's Game! Cool movie but apparently it's missing out on a lot from the books. Going to read the books after game of thrones.

Thinking about doing a Whole30. My parent's are gone for the month so I figure if there is any easy time to do it, it's now. I'll have to sort it all out.

It's my last week of work at U of W. Need to find new work. Prayer needed!

Well I'm semi diving into a Whole30 and try my damn hardest to stick to it. last whole30 turned into a whole18? or so. In all fairness I broke that one over a bottle of Innis & Gun at my buddies surprise wedding. (as in he told no one he was getting married, gathered us all at his house by giving us the code and getting us to let ourselves in, then he came home with a ring on his girlfriend's finger)

    So here goes

    Whole30 Day 1

    Breakfast- Fast

    Lunch- Fast

"Snack"- 2 TBSP of MCT oil (it was getting near the end of the work day, I got weak )

Afternoon Coffee at my fave coffee shop- Kenyan pour-ver

Dinner- Chicken drum and thigh (baked, leftovers from a previous night), 1 pork chop (dry rub + balsamic panfried in olive oil), 1/2 head of cauliflower, 1/2 grapefruit, 5 olives, Apple and onion hash (1 onion, 1 apple, chopped up and fried in bacon fat and frank's red hot)

Honestly was still a bit hungry after dinner but that's expected considering how far off I threw myself off between going out for dinner and the oreo cheesecake for my sister's birthday over the weekend. Let's hope I can keep it up for day 2!

Now seems like the perfect time for you to do a Whole30 with no parents around. Not that it sounds easy but I would think it would be easier if you were just cooking for yourself with no other temptations around. I really want to do one too. Not sure when but it will happen!
I was in London this weekend, hit up Covent Garden Market, lots of organic vendors, scored some grass fed gound beef, steaks along with some awesome bacon and free range organic eggs. So fricking good!
I love that you post your daily menus, gives me tons of ideas. Yesterday I did a whole chicken with garlic, butter, thyme and poultry seasoning, had it with green and yellow beans and roasted butternut squash and sweet potatoes. Pretty awesome if I do say so myself!
So far today I have had coffee and bacon. Lunch will likely be leftover chicken and supper is pork sausages (local) with sauerkraut.
I am working from home today. Messed up my back this weekend and just couldn't face the drive to Toronto this morning.
Really hoping and praying something turns up for you on the job front. Take Care, Di
P.S. Got your BBM about Facebook but I am not on there. Thanks anyway.
