Tomi! you are a sweetheart you know that? It's been a rough day getting lost in my own thoughts so to come home and log into this reminder is what I needed. Praying hard for a lot of things lately. Life has been shifting and I'm trying to humble myself before him and ask for him to take it all. I know he's got a plan. A friend put it this way the other day. "He didn't take you this far just to abandon you". Every reminder helps.

    Wise words from your friend

    God has a plan:

    Jeremiah 20:11

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future".

    Claim it!

Posted that on a sticky note on my desk. That's something that I need to look up at every time I have a day like yesterday.

We all have those days - that sometimes stretch into weeks. That's why we have the "family" to come beside and gently remind us of the simple basics of the Christian faith. Sometimes its hard to trust when we see nothing happening, but there is always work being done to pave the path for what is coming. Its hard for us to see the laying of the pavement when our eye is on the destination, the end result. God see's the road inch by inch.......... we want to see the destination and forget to watch the progress of the path being layed out before us. Especially when difficulties and struggles are clouding our vision. If only God would give us just a tiny little peak at the end result it might make the struggles a bit easier to endure.

At this point it's all just wait and see on life you know? I do have good news to share though- 2 job interviews next week. I'll just have to wait and see god's plan for it.

On another sidebar... It's the return of the Ham Sandwich!

Hey All! Amazing weekend and wanted to share some of it with you guys. Friday was sleep catch up (you'd think that'd be considered boring but damn I needed it.). Saturday I went to the market, built a BBQ, and dressed to the 9's and went out to the club for a friend's birthday. Dinner at the club first (you'd think it'd be gross but this is a schwanky upscale). It was grilled swordfish over asparagus and a crusty potato latke- garnished on top with a thin sliced sweet cucumber salad (sliced or I guessed "skinned" with a peeler, as in thin cuts of cucumber but no skin). Danced my ASS off! (well not off but it was 2 days ago and my ass is still sore!). To boot I was completely sober no booze because I'm finding a single drink seems to fire my insulin into hyper drive and I gain like no other... Sunday morning was church, a childhood buddy of mine comes every 2 weeks but didn't make it 2 weeks ago so it was awesome seeing him. What makes it better is that he asked me to be a part of his wedding party. Of course I said yes! Then Sunday night I was running audio for a prayer/communion service at the church. First time I had worked one of those- not sure if I was a fan because it's hard to get yourself into a communion mindset when you're thinking about the work that needs to be done. I guess someone has to do it though so if I can serve others it's a plus.

2 job interviews this week- one that would take me far away and the other which I've written about countless times on here and is finally happening- the latter would keep me here in my backyard. Prayers needed!
