    Praying for you ecks! I don't think you need prayers for a wife, lol. I'm sure you will find the right woman at the right time! I can't wait to read about the good news though

    Thanks Alessandra!!

    So in other big news... I know I've mentioned this before but I figured I would post more official stuff here.

    So 2 months from now I'll be on a plane to Quito Ecuador for a short term mission trip to support the people at Carmen Bajo Church. What I need from you guys is (more) prayer for the team and I as we prepare and fundraise.

    Link to my personal support page can be found here: Short Term

    Feel free to share support at the bottom of the page. It's open for anyone to leave messages! Love you guys'n'gals!

    Thank you Siobhan and Pam for leaving messages on my Missions page! The support (and prayer!) is always appreciated

    I'm nervous about this trip... but it's starting to grow on me. To be honest I've never understood short term missions... heck I'd go as far as to say that they that they don't make sense to me. I initially never wanted to go on this trip. Time and time again though I see people wiser and stronger than me going and I have to find out why. I was going to brush this one off and not go but I kind of felt God's calling- the same one that got me involved with volunteering at the church in the first place. I understand that if I expect things from God that I must be willing to serve as well. That's not an "I'm doing this so that god will do stuff for me" but more an "I'm doing this BECAUSE god has been doing stuff for me".

    Sleep stuff has been going so well that I passed out last night without plugging in my phone. I think I found one flaw in my sleep system though... I've been setting my alarm clock needlessly too early. Wheather I set it at 5:30 or 6:30 I get out of bed at 6:40... so I moved my alarm ahead an hour this morning and had no issues sticking with regular routine. All in all things are coming together quite nicely though!

    @Candy Thought's are always welcome m'dear!

    @Siobhan It's something I used to do with my cousins when we were younger... both sliding on butts and our stomachs... we used to race to see who could get to the bottom of the stairs first! Don't think we ever did get hurt either too!

    Big news turned not so big. I had a job interview that I was sure I nailed... And I didn't. They didn't even check with my references.
