Hi!
I have a lot of trouble with what to say to vegetarians/vegans when they are showing of some research as if it's their own.
The latest is this: Eliminating the #1 Cause of Death | NutritionFacts.org
From what they say is the worlds leading heart-researcher saying that we are not built to eat meat.
What do I say to something like that? Is that research valid at all?

For future battles, I understand Beyond Broccoli is an intelligent argument from a pretty hardcore ex-vegan. I bought it for my Kindle but haven't had a chance to read it yet.
But I'm starting to agree with Dargonfly's attitude. It's kind of pointless to argue, and some of the more militant ones (usually the ones you're arguing with) tend to fight with outright lies anyway. You can't logcally defend yourself when they just make stuff up. You're not going to convince them and you'll just end up pissed off, so there's no point.

There are so many better things to do. Go for a walk in the sun without sunscreen. Munch on that bacon. Lift a big rock over your head. Find a better person to talk with -- definitely.
Life is an ongoing Experiment of One, so here's to science!

Agree to a debate when you're both 90. Should be pretty apparent then who was right. Until then each of you need to live your life your way.

I usually encourage the vegan. Get them talking. Ask them how many innocent (and uneaten) animals they want to kill with pesticides and herbicides to grow their soy. Ask them how many acres of rainforest they need to forever decimate to feed their trendy ways.
