Congrats on resisting temptation - I know it can be hard - people seem to get so INSULTED when you don't eat the way they eat at social functions.
Doing Ok, had to leave my older dog at the vet's for some medical care- he is really ill, so I was sad and started thinking of all the things I could eat on the way home or later today - fish and chips; popcorn; bagel etc but am BBQing some chicken breasts instead to throw on a salad. I absolutely LOVE Ranch dressing - I make my own with just mayo/buttermilk and some spices.
I made the mistake of weighing myself yesterday and was up 2lbs from the day before - I think it's just a "blip" and have to be careful to NOT weigh myself ever day. I did get the dog out for a 30 minute walk.
It's beautiful and sunny here - hope it's the same there!

It is beautiful and sunny here too! Im sorry to hear about your pooch...I hope he is ok. Yey, for not giving into temptation plus BBQ chicken tastes wayyyy better than those other foods. Thankfully they all understood why I wasn't eating the treats, I think only 2 people ate cookies and brownies so I wasn't the only one. "they" always say not to weigh yourself everyday and to go off how your body looks, so it probably is just a "blip". I feel great but I have a long way to go, I want to me toned and fit into my size 4 jeans again. Right now im a size 8/10 and i can get my size 4s on and almost buttoned with a major muffin top lol. We are going to my In-laws for dinner tonight, she called and asked if i could eat this and that because she didnt want to mess up my diet

Today is my 8th day primal, 1 full week down. I feel great and temptations are getting a lot easier, Yesterday I bought a dark chocolate bar 75% cocoa and its yummy! had 1 square on the way home.

We went grocery shopping last night, went a little over budget due to paper products and i wanted berrys. My step dad made me almond butter, its ok but I'm not sure what to do with it. I used to eat PB by the spoon full but almond butter isn't as smooth, any suggestions?

    B: Coffee w/ HWC
L: homemade corned beef(not store bought processed), cabbage, carrots
D: grilled steaks, grilled bell peppers, cauliflower mash for me and cauliflower plain for the hubs
    P: Krav Maga
    Rest: 9 1/2 hours
Weight: Between 154.5-155..one day its 154.5 then its 155..I know I know I shouldn't weigh myself everyday!

Kelly, step AWAY from the scale!! At least give yourself a week. I find if I am up it can ruin my day and sometimes I think "f*ck it" and eat something forbidden.
Hubby and I fought last night around dinner time and I left; got home at 11:30 (went to local casino, I know, I know, BAD, but I won $1600!!!!), and ate some bologna and a couple of slices of cheese. When I was out I was sorely tempted by a bagel or other take out, but I resisted, and felt really good about it today.
I feel "thinner", but I think that is bc I am not feeling bloated rather than actual weight loss. At some point I have to do my measurements, but I can usually tell by how my clothes fit. Most of my weight is in my tummy - my butt, legs etc are all not bad, just this buddha belly.

    B: eggs and bacon
L: salad with BBQ chicken and ranch dressing, pumpkin seeds a few almonds
D: Not sure, either chicken and bok choy stir fry or with a salad

    What's Krav Maga???

I know I know but I want to see the number go down! lol I will not weigh myself until next Monday. Krav Maga is Isreali combat fighting, self defense. Its a form of martial arts, its super fun and I love it but if it wipes me right out. Whoo Hoo for $1600! I get excited when I win like $20 lol My clothes are fitting looser as well and I have the same problems with carrying it around my tummy, butt, and thighs. Your meals look yummy today, I'm going to make some BBQ chicken this week but I need to find a good primal BBQ recipe that doesn't include sugar.

I've been really good about following the diet and so has my husband, he made dinner last night steak and cauliflower mash. It was super yummy! I was too tired/lazy to go to Krav yesterday so I am going today instead.

B:1 egg fried in butter 4 pieces of bacon Green Tea
S: Coffee with creamer (tim hortons)
L: Tuna w/ mayo Salad with bacon, cucumbers, lettuce, tomato & homemade balasamic vin. dressing
D: Grilled chicken legs & grilled bell peppers.
    P/M:Krav Maga
    Rest:7 hours
    W:155

ok, all i saw was BACON COFFEE! and was like, they make that? must have it

on serious note, sounds like you are doing great...

and if you want something to do with the almond butter, have you had the banana pancakes? its one banana, one egg, a table spoon (or a little more) of almond butter and some nutmeg/cinnamon all mixed up in a bowl, it turns to almost like a batter, then just fry it in a pan with butter...its almost the same texture as pancakes and taste awesome! my wife makes a butter drizzle to go on it, its melted butter, splenda brown sugar (thats optional), cinnamon, nutmeg...

its a good breakup from eggs and bacon in the morning, though we usually still have eggs and bacon with it

Insane Grok: Bacon Coffee yum! lol Those pancakes sound delicious but I'm allergic to bananas, I haven't always been but about 5 or 6 years ago I was eating a banana and my mouth became itchy and started to get red bumps on it. I miss bananas they are so delicious and satisfying...ok now I'm craving bananas!

I found a recipe for a primal pumpkin brownie:
    Ingredients:
    1 cup almond butter
cup mashed pumpkin or other squash, canned or steamed
    1 egg
    1/3 cup honey
    1 tsp baking soda

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well. Pour into a greased 8 x 8 in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Serves 8.

I'm going to make it this weekend.
