I don't measure grams any more, but my daily intake is about 70% of my calories from fat.
Primal eating in a nutshell: If you are hungry, eat Primal food until you are satisfied (not stuffed). Then stop. Wait until you're hungry again. Repeat.

I eat in the neighborhood of 150g fat/day, for a total of around 1050g/week.
...and I'm leaner than ever, by far.

yeah i'm not sure about grams but about 70% of my calories typically. +-10%
Eating lots but still hungry? Eat more fat. Mid-day sluggishness? Eat more fat. Feeling depressed or irritable? Eat more fat. People think you've developed an eating disorder? Eat more fat... in front of them.
I consume approximately 420 g of fat a week.
And I am not leaner. I've increased the amount of protein from 60 to 110g to 80g to 130g a week trying to gain more muscle mass...not bulk up but add lost muscle mass. Maybe why I've noticed a bit more BF around the waist.
Any suggestions? Also, I don't want to lose weight as I am actually underweight by a few pounds.
I stopped weighing/tracking a while ago... but when I eat how I WANT to its at least 100g of SATURATED fat a day.
Gallon bucket of raw organic coconut oil in the mail.
I CANNOT WAIT.
David - consider more fat (especially the aforementioned coconut oil).
Also... your weekly protein intake looks like it should be closer to your DAILY. That's pretty low for someone trying to put on muscle.
Stick to low-carb, up your fat and DEFINITELY your protein intake, and you should see some muscle mass (with resistance training) as well as BF reduction.
Dave I second what Aaron said about upping your protein.
Per day I eat at least twice the amount you eat in a week.
My whole life, I've felt like an animal......but I've ignored my instincts. I ignored what I really am. That will never happen again.
My blog
usually strive for 70-80g protein and 60-100g fat daily
Sorry guys. My bad...that's how much protein I eat per day.
Recently had a Nutritionist tell me to consume less fat than the 420 grams per week guesstimate. This person eats Paleo too, but believes I should eat more carbs and less fat to lose the last BF that is difficult to lose. Been trying this for 3 weeks and I believe I'm gaining BF. I am recovering from minor surgery and therefor cautiously working out hard a few times a week. Ran sprints today. Lifted yesterday but up to 80% max on the weight lifts.
If I eat more good fat, this will increase total calories which may mean more weight. Hopefully muscle increase for weight not more BF!
I eat 40g to 85g carbs per day. Should I cut more carbs off the diet to reduce BF?
What do you think??
