    Nice work tfarny! Everyone actually.

    Lifted Thursday.
    Squats: 75
    OHP: 45 (4, 4, 3)
    Deadlift: 115
I felt something pull in my arm warming up for dl's so I didn't increase the weight. It didn't hurt, just felt strange... Then it happened again today as I was pulling the car door shut. NOW it hurts. Argh. Just one little spot on the side of my arm - must be a tendon or something.

That is odd Chelle. I'm pretty sure I have tendinitis on my left arm from low bar squatting. I either still lack some of the flexibility, or I'm setting it to low on my back. Either way, I've changed the way I hold the bar a bit and have been using wrist wraps to help me recover. I did nothing that resembled SS today. Just speed work with several assistance exercises.

Really sore today. It's either the tendon where the deltoid attaches in the back of the arm or maybe the bicep brachi. I just did the OHP motion about doubled over. Definitely overdid it on OHP. I might have to fashion a sling to keep from using this arm for a day or so. At least it's my left arm.

Thanks for the company MM. I know you are beyond SS.

Large, in general. Not carb-phobic. Including whole milk and whey protein. Have gained almost 20 lb since March 1.

    Squat: 80
    Bench: 55
    Dead lift: 125

S L O W L Y progressing on squat and deadlift. Even slower on bench. My weight is holding steady at 130 even though we've been going through the Georgia peaches like crazy.

I'm only at the gym once a week during summer, so I'm more of a starting strength wannabe at this point. With this busy (blessed) life with kids I'm not really sure what realistic strength and body fat goals would be. I'd love to get down closer to 20-22% body fat, but I'm just treading water at this point. (literally most days. The 10 and 7 year olds are swimming daily with swim team, but I'm still working on stroke development with the 4 year old. )

Highlight of the day? I tried to DL 135 at the end of my workout. Had to ask another friendly lifter to help me get the bar back on the deadlift rack so I could put the weights away. Ha! I didn't realize how done my legs were until I had loaded those 45's. Sat down to rest and take a look at my skinned shins and all my energy drained. I got the bar off the ground, but couldn't clear my knees. I was done. Couldn't even get the weights off. Thank goodness for the friendly lifter nearby. It's good to be humble...

Almost forgot - highlight of the week is new shoes. Went to try on some Vibrams, but ended up with some New Balance Minimus. Just couldn't get my little toe to fit right. I did get Vibrams for the kids, though. My little guy would sleep in those suckers if I would let him.

Can't believe I didn't buy zero lift shoes sooner. I've been tempted to lift barefoot, but figured that was taboo. These NB zero lift are even better.

Just remember that zero heel lift will hurt your squats. I wear VFF or NB Zeros for all my lifts except squat day, squats are still done in normal shoes.
I didn't like the rules you gave me, so I made some of my own.

Normal shoes = trainers? I hate to disagree with you Fed, but I've not seen them recommended by anyone. Lifting shoes, sure.

Anyhow I'm going for 335 x5 in the deadlift today and bench 205x5. SS is almost done for the year, as I'm getting fatter than I like to be, not making consistent workout to workout progress (though I still hit a pr most workouts), and need to start working on conditioning to meet my upcoming athletic goals.
