YTD total = 71 km. Still low but catching up.
Has been snowing the last couple of days, wet ugly snow, not fluffy pretty snow. Walking at lunch has been tough, but will give it a go today. Also started my kettlebell workouts 3x / week. As the weather improves should be able to put some real distance on.

Just got back from our 8km walk. Absolutely beautiful morning with hardly a cloud in the sky and everything so nice and clean after the recent rain.
Met a couple who lost their dog to snakebite when walking this track about 2 weeks ago. We can usually avoid them because the track is clear but dogs can be too curious for their own good, and rush up to investigate before we have time to call them back.

124.8kms as of March 1, I've been so lucky, all my walking days have been not too wet, on my yoga days it has poured with rain...
On the subject of rain, we have had over 150mm since Monday, that's 6 of those funny inch things. In Canberra! And I write 'over' because yesterday morning the gauge had overflowed so I just put the maximum it measures.

57.5 kM in the past 4 weeks - that's all, as I was a late starter.
I like it that folk are posting the occasional photo from their walks, as they add another dimension.

Yesterday was a fine spring day. Sunny and warm. I managed to walk 9 kms around home. Today it is still warm, but no sun. I walked 11.5 kms in the hills.
I signed up for a walking event in 3 months. 100 kms in (max) 26 hours. Don't ask why, I don't know myself. I still have a lot to do to manage this distance. Currently about 10 kms is all I can walk comfortably, and I can't imagine walking the distance 9 times more without a major break... I have to add kms to my longest walk every week, and I hope to do a 50 kms walk before that event so that I know that I can do at least half the distance!
