Hmmm....
Probably too late for me to join as well, eh?
I do a fair amount of running (training for a half in April) but I also try to walk as well, trying to working several walks throughout the day at work as well as walking with the kids in the evening.
I would only count the walking I did for the purposes of this challenge.
I'm at 30.1 miles (or 48.4 km) walking through January 17th.
What says the powers that be?
Heavy sigh... 27.6kms.
I'm old! And, and, and... I'd rather do yoga.

Lost the weight using CW. Now I just want to be healthier.

Feel free to read and/or comment, but don't expect me to listen.
Distance walked 2012: 321 kms as of June 15.
It's never too late to join! Welcome people just joining, I'll do another update to the list this weekend.
On the competitive front ... I definitely agree this is not a race, or a competition. It IS however supposed to be motivating, which is the reason why I am posting the distances in rank order ...purely to provide people with the motivation to get out there and get moving. I hope we ALL crack 1000km to ensure maximum happiness, healthiness and fitness.
I'm fine if two or more people agree they want to race, or similar, but there's no pressure on anyone to prove anything or feel like they have to compete. At the end of the day it is just about getting out there and doing your best for yourself.

My Primal slow movement challenge: 208.29km of 1000km completed in 2012!
Finally made it out the gate for a 9km walk this morning. That's 47km to date. We are going to measure some more of the track for the days we feel like extending our walk. It's so refreshing walking through the bush, much better than walking round the roads. The dog likes it too. All those animal smells to investigate.

Mark me at 89.9 for Friday AM ... it's supposed to rain this weekend so I either toughen up or laze it out. We'll see!
