I saw an interview this week on Elisabeth Hasselbeck, detailing her time on Survivor. She credits the producers for saving her life. Having life long issues with her body, she noted reduced problems while on Survivor. When she got back to the real world, with that info in hand they were able to correctly diagnose her as having the inability to digest gluten and credited it to her having Celiac's Disease. Imagine that!
She's now written a book due out called the G Free Diet.
C'mon America, wake up! It's time to take note of these issues around us and kick grains to the curb once and for all!
Eating lots but still hungry? Eat more fat. Mid-day sluggishness? Eat more fat. Feeling depressed or irritable? Eat more fat. People think you've developed an eating disorder? Eat more fat... in front of them.
Wait, you paid attention to anyhing she said?!
But yes the celiac thing and bringing it to a larger audience is awesome!
Life on Earth may be punishing, but it includes an annual free trip around the sun!
Diana - is that sarcasm or simply not knowing? Either way, I often forget she was on there even though she did pretty well on the show. I'm not a fan of the View;too many opinions and most of them I don't agree with. Regardless, her story is a cool one that incidentally proves the validity of a gluten free diet.
God I'm with you there. I can't stand her either! I hate when comedians think their opinion actually matters. At least that is MY opinion!
