it has come to my attention that I am too skinny. I have been told I need to gain weight. How do I do that in a healthy way and not end up flabby and gross?

not more often, but more weight might help you out. what are you doing now for your lifting? it's not the amount of time you spend working out that matters, it's the intensity.

Probably going to have to eat more protein to feed the extra lean mass you're trying to cultivate too.

Who says you are "too skinny?" If you are happy with your physique and you are healthy and active, ignore them. I was once told by a trainer that if I lost more weight I "wouldn't be attractive to men."

That being said, I too would recommend greater fat and protein consumption along with primal carbs later in the day (I usually try to get those carbs in the AM, but if I was trying to gain, I"d shift some to PM). I"d also eat a significant source of protein right before bed.

While it is possible to be too skinny (super-low bodyfat, or low muscle mass, or both), you have to consider the source. Was it said by someone who is overweight him/herself? Overweight people often have skewed views of "normal" weight and body composition. Or possibly a woman who is jealous of your body?

But if you want to be the weight you should be (the weight your body prefers for health), just eat as much Primal food as you desire (meat, eggs, green vegetables, root vegetables, fruits, nuts). Also, walk regularly, work out intensely a couple times a week with as much weight as you can safely handle, and sprint every week or so. As long as you are healthy haters can piss off.
Today I will: Eat food, not poison. Plan for success, not settle for failure. Live my real life, not a virtual one. Move and grow, not sit and die.

As Lolly and Uncephalized asked I would like to know who said you were too skinny too.
I would keep doing what you are doing but make sure you are trying to increase your weight each time on your lift heavy things days. And depending what you are doing you may want a more structured program for your lifting.
Eating primal is not a diet, it is a way of life.

How about a photo? Odds are, you're normal.
Steak, eggs, potatoes - fruits, nuts, berries and forage. Coconut milk and potent herbs and spices. Tea instead of coffee now and teeny amounts of kelp daily. Let's see how this does! Not really had dairy much, and gut seems better for it.
