It is possible to be a primal vegetarian. Mark's son is one. But meat has lots of benefits. I'd keep trying to find ways you can enjoy eating it. [Disclaimer: I am more Archevore than Primal.] IMHO, traditionally soaked beans are good food and a source of protein.
I would suggest that you keep looking for different ways to enjoy veggies. There are lots. But you don't have to eat a huge amount of them.
Don't worry about what the scales say. Put them in the closet. Go by how your clothes feel. As you do primal, your lean body mass will increase. After a year and a half of eating ancestrally, I have lost about 15 pounds and lots of fat.
