Btw, check your library, a lot of these books are actually available and you won't have to purchase them.

I always liked NeanderThin by Ray Audette. I believe it was the first paleo type book to come out (around 1995). It is currently out of print though.
But if you can find it cheap, it is very simplistic and a great introduction to paleolithic eating.
