Yes - unfortunately - the thickening waistline is totally normal. I'm 51 and post menopausal, and I have it too. I can't remember the name of the hormone - but once the estrogen decreases we have another hormone that starts flowing - I call it the old lady hormone - it actually causes weight gain through the middle. Are there any ways of fighting it? Specific exercises or whatever? It's just the last month I've noticed this. It was very annoying to have outfits that had just started looking good on me start looking bad, in spite of the fact I was not gaining. Gack!
Other than that, I'll just generally try to keep losing weight and improving my fitness.
At least my face looks better, LOL!
Oh, any chance this same hormone will prevent my boobs from shrinking?
