The only possible explanation is TOM which will pass. I wonder if there is any correlation between emotions and weight gain. More emotional maybe indicates a tougher cycle that may result in weight gain?

You know, Paula, I need to track these things better. Not only what I'm eating, how I'm exercising, but how I'm sleeping, how I'm feeling, where I am in my cycle. I might see if I spot something like that. I finally noticed that I don't sleep well during PMS, which makes me extra tired during TOM. [and not sleeping well makes the emotions roller coaster even more!]

Karin, I made up my own recipe. If the jerky is good, I'll share, otherwise...I'll google some more for the next batch

It's funny, Ovulation day is always a bad emotional bingey day for me.

I have never really had issues with anything except the actual week of TOM, but those are plenty. Totally ruins my sleep, not sure why this is evolutionarily necessary, but it obviously effects hormones which effect how nutrients are used in the body. I think a graph is an excellent way to see the forest for the trees, 2 or 3 days up over the course of all the down you have had will barely show as a bump!

You know I love charts and graphs...

By the way, I found my missing green chile. Had rolled out of my bag into the back of the car. The good thing is that our garage is like a freezer, so my chile was still perfectly cold

OK ladies, I am so proud. I just made Mayonnaise to go with my tuna for lunch. I used the stick blender/mason jar method which worked great. Lovely consistency.

    Ingredients:
1 egg, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp dry mustard, 1 cup extra virgin olive oil

Problems: Too salty + strong OO flavor, but I could get used to that. 1/4 tsp salt next time?

The tuna tasted great. I generally only use mayo for that anyway. Other recipe tweaks appreciated.

Paula- did you drizzle the oil in or just dump the ingredients and go for it. I am willing to try homemade ONE MORE TIME. lol

I like homemade, but DH won't eat it because of the egg. I'd go with 1/4 tsp of salt. Have you tried avocado or mac nut oil?
