Is the cold at least getting better? So sorry about the incessant traveling, it can just wear you down. I really think constant travel is best left to 20 somethings who have no family commitments.

Re: travel. I agree. I have, however, been putting my foot down and limiting my travel. The one last week was a presentation to all of the big wigs and my boss wanted me to be there in person. That made sense. My travel this week is a training (that I'm presenting) and I need a bunch of people together. Again, it makes sense. However, I have said I won't travel again this month. I'm also limiting travel next month. Progress, at least.

What makes something a stew versus a soup? Is it the thickness?

I think its a thickness or just full of stuff in every spoon. My enchilada soup was soup. It was good but just soup.

Okay. Mine is probably what Rachel Ray calls a "stoup" - something in between.

Have you ever tried turnips in your stoup? I have been using them instead of potatoes and I really like it. Pretty mild flavor.
Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.

I have tried parsnips and was not thrilled. Have not had turnips in forever, did not like them. I am selfish with my carbs though..lol

I've found both to be best if made into a mash or a puree. Of course that could be a result of the added butter and heavy cream. >.>

Yeah. Parsnips are good, but not good enough for me to want to ruin my weight loss attempts.
