I personally like the gym. Do I need it, no. However, I have friends there that I see everyday. Also, if I don't have the gym to go to I get lazy and don't exercise. I also really enjoy walking to the gym in the morning. The sun is just coming up, most people are still sleeping. I just find it really peaceful and it makes me feel good. So I guess its just down to your preference. If you like going to the gym and its worth the money do it. If you think you can get a good workout at home, then do that.
