I have always done great meat fondue for friends on the weekends in the past before i became primal. What oil can i use to do a primal version? Any help is much appreciated.

I just use lard from the supermarket. I used to use cheap lard, but I read that it was made by hydrogenation, so I use a more upmarket lard now that tastes better too.

Lard yes - but home rendered is by far the best. If you are making beef fondue, then beef fat. If pork - pork fat . etc etc

Lard, ghee or dripping. Dripping has a higher smoke point - 280C compared to 180C for lard. For a fondue, lard will do. What about ghee, though? Like butter, but has a smoke point of 250C! All the fun of butter, but no burning.
