    Additionally, look at this other article about diet and inflammation:

    "Dietary patterns high in refined starches, sugar, and saturated and trans-fatty acids and poor in natural antioxidants and fiber from fruits, vegetables, and whole grains may cause an activation of the innate immune system, most likely by an excessive production of proinflammatory cytokines associated with a reduced production of anti-inflammatory cytokines."

    Similar findings by Jeff Volek et al. published on Richard Feinman's excellent site

    Improvement of lipids is now well attested: these papers are looking behind the Lipid Hypothesis to see what other factors are also being improved, and which might actually be causal to the cardiovascular and other diseases.

    they always have to throw in saturated fat and whole grains. They can't seem to leave those out even then the evidence is they don't belong in the sentence.

    All the while grains and oilseeds are buy cheap and sell expensive feedstocks for the Food Industry (urgh) don't expect CW to take on board unprofitable stuff like facts or evidence
