    Hey Guys,

So I just cooked a duck but I tried a new method of cooking and while eating it, I realized there was still a decent bit of red "bloody" looking meat near the bone. I decided to go ahead and just eat it, but now am having second thoughts about this decision. How dangerous was is it to eat an undercooked duck? Anyone out there have some info to put my mind at ease?

    Best,

    Justin

You can cook duck just like steak. Duck breast is often cooked rare, so NO WORRIES!

    MMMMM duuuuck... drool.

Life on Earth may be punishing, but it includes an annual free trip around the sun!

I'm jealous, the more rare the better. Drool drool indeed. Ducks don't contain salmonella, you are good to go!!!

    Cheers!

I just had duck last night. I was hoping to celebrate a Jets win but alas it wasn't to be. Nonetheless the duck was great!

I slow roast it and even after 5 hours some of the meat near the bone was still under cooked but no worries about eating it unless you have an adversion to rare meat.
