Would it be bad to eat fish for most of my meals?

I just realized that eating canned salmon every day in different ways is very cheap and nutritious (we're talking <$5 for meals every day!). However, I read somewhere that overconsuming omega-3s is actually detrimental to your health because you have excess n-3 over n-6. Would it be okay to do long term, or should I cycle in some expensive meat now and then? I just remember the Eskimo documentary, and it seems like they mainly eat fish as their protein.

I guess I could get tired of it, but usually when I get really excited about eating something, I could eat it for weeks. XD

I think it'd be pretty hard to overdo the O-3 if you not popping fish oils. Eggs alone should get you back to 1:1.

No, if you're doing it for me you should kill it with your bare hands.

But on a more serious note, over consumption of larger predator fish may have some risk of mercury or other toxicity. The toxins tend to concentrate the higher up you go in the food chain. Smaller fishes are probably less risky for daily consumption. The completely unscientific opinion I heard was salmon or tuna 2-3x a week or so. Google it, and see what you think.

I heard alaskan salmon has pretty negligible amounts of mercury, and I can probably safely consume a pound every day without any effects. Plus I hear the concern over mercury shouldn't be that high unless you're pregnant or way overconsuming it.
