    I.F. question

    Primal Fuel
    Hey guys

Into my 5th day of IF now, 16 hour fasts typiclly starting at 10pm. Just a quick question though, I am absolutely starving today, and still have 4 hours till I break my fast. So many people say to eat when you are hungry, but i'm assuming that doesn't carry across to IF?

It's just my stomach that is growling by the way, i'm not feeling weak or anything like that.

When your fasting you don't eat, that's it really.

When I fast I would usually don't eat from about six/seven in the evening the start day. Then when I wake up on the fasting day I have a cup of coffee for breakfast and one for lunch (if I'm going the whole day) then usually eat at around six in the evening when I have a nice dinner. I've tried taking the fast through to the next day once but it made me feel like sh*t and really weak so haven't tried it again.

You should be able to manage your weight really well by IF. It works really well for me.

It's really an individual thing. If you're really hungry-eat! Then maybe tomorrow you can do a longer fast-not everyday has to be a 16 hr. fast. Some days I go for 20 hours, and some days I can only go 14.

Just having a nice cup of coffee now, that'll take the edge off it till eating time. it's the thought of those lovely bacon wrapped chicken thighs that is torturing me I think!

if you're hungry, you eat the food.

some days, maybe you feel like eating the eggs when you wake up. others, you do not eat for 27 hours, this is how it goes.

I've been doing Fast-5 for the last three years(fast 19 hours-eat within a 5-hour window) and i will still get the stomach growls. I've learned to ignore them. They usually go away after a few minutes. Drinking a ton of water helps.

I think that fasting teaches one about one's own body and nutritional needs. You aren't in fact starving. That feeling is all in your head. You could easily go a couple days without eating and have no issues from your body. People in Africa who struggle to get enough food on a daily basis are starving. I find that it helps to relax and just know that the hunger feelings are no big deal really.
